Who maintains the RANs?

on saturday was driving back to LA from the Southern Sierras and stopped at the RANs in Inyokern. (that's 2.5 hours north of LA, 5 hours south of Reno and 2 hours from San Bernadino. essentially the middle of the Mojave). Ran into Tanner and the rest of the RAN crew who were there to service the RANs. here was a team of people fixing, updating, cleaning... the RANs in the 100 degree heat! super friendly and helpful (he showed me some tricks with the NAV). i had not previously thought about who maintains them. Tanner said that they manage the RANs from north of LA all the way to Bishop. That, my friends, is some lonely desert. Thanks Tanner and Rivian for having our backs out there in the middle of nowhere.

It’s hot as balls out there this time of year. Hottest I’ve ever experienced was last July when I was visiting Death Valley. Everyone was throttling their chargers in Baker, which sucked.

Kudos to that hard working team keeping things up and running during these harsh months.
