Well unfortunately there isn't much to report. I drove by this morning around 0800 and there was nothing going on nor did it look like there had been. The industrial park is decent and easy to access just off Lily Rd, just north of Silver Spring. There are other tenants in the same building. There is no Rivian signage anywhere at this point and there wasn't any activity that looked like construction of any sort. I drove around back and no activity in back either. There are larger doors which would be good for vehicle entry/exit. Either way, there isn't much to report unfortunately.

thanks for checking it out. sad there isn't obvious progress. hopefully Rivian's shift away from GA toward Normal for R2 production isn't also including a pause on spending for new service centers.

I drove by the future site again today with not too much more to report. There is no signage anywhere still. There were more vehicles in front which appeared to potentially be "tradespeople" type vehicles. Its possible work is being done on the inside. Either way not a ton more new news to share. I'll swing by again in late May.

nothing but nothing greeted The Count at the address on file. So sad given the hood gap issues facing The Count these days.

theory: the pullback on GA plant and shift to expanding Normal also includes stopping/pausing new service centers and perhaps slowing the glacial pace of RAN.

Yeah I was really hoping summer. My driver's door actually rubs when opening when it heats up and expands to the point where its rubbed off some paint. I'm literally delaying fixing it because it will mean a trip to Chicago and without it for a week or more probably. I was hoping it would open here this summer so I could get it taken care of here and have less of a hassle.
