Would there be any issues keeping Ride Height at "Low" full time, while in AP

I was told that when Rivian did my alignment they did it in the standard ride height setting.
My Michelin's ran about $1600 at 22k miles. (21 inch wheels)
I like the idea of running boards?

Increased tire wear is your only issue with keeping it on low all the time. Ride comfort will suffer a little bit too.

To expand on the tire issue, when at standard hight the tires are straight, but on low the tilt in a little and on high they tilt out a little (the term is camber angle if you want to google it). So on low the inside edges of your tires will wear faster.
I agree here. The tires are canted inward slightly in low. As has been said elsewhere, use the kneeling feature to enter/exit, but it’s not recommended on low for city driving for this reason he stated. And tires aren’t cheap. Auto is better—and driving at highway speeds on low when auto engages does wear times some but negligibly. City driving isn’t recommended

My wife is short and has difficulty exiting our R1S. I'm aware of "Kneeling", but we always forget to not open the doors after parking. before kneeling has completed.

If I take it off "Auto" Ride Height, when I start driving, and set for "Low", we find that it's low enough for her to exit.
I've driven my R1S 100% in sport mode and lowest ride height, rotated the tires @11k and 22k miles and checked inside, outside and center tread and can report 100% even treadware on the OEM 22" tires. I switched to Michelins @31k miles since we were going on a road trip and were loaded for bear but I could have gotten another 4k-5k miles out of them.

So, as long as the tires are well balanced and you have a good 4 wheel alignment, there's no problem.

Sure my wife and daughter complain about the stiff ride but afaic it rides like a truck. It's not a cor or minivan.

Running boards will rust and disrupt the air flow. Save that money and send her to the gym instead.
Get Real Wheels EV stainless steel running boards. A little spendy but no rust and my truck lives near the ocean in Hawaii. I didn’t notice any loss in efficiency and they stick out just far enough to help prevent door dings. You will loose about 1-1/2ā€ of ground clearance due to the brackets. Not a problem so far for me.

I wonder if you can adjust your alignment to better fit the truck running in low all the time. I had to add adjustable camber arms on my X because I run low all the time. Still not perfect alignment but much better.

I am thinking similarly but mainly because I want to rock sports mode all the time. Lol

I used low on the highway...but...my wife doesn't allow....says I am trying to knock her unconscious with the headrest. The thought never entered my mind 😁

The alignment changes with ride height. This is confirmed by a YT video showing alignment specs as the truck was on the alignment rack. Some have suggested telling Rivian to align it for low ride height but I can't say if that would solve the issue or not.
