Would you buy a Rivian R1T bed Cap / Topper ?

As an R1T owner would you buy a Rivian bed Cap/Topper if they made one?

I've got 15,000 miles in my R1T now and I absolutely love the vehicle!

To be quite honest my wife loves the vehicle too to the point where the only thing preventing us from getting a second R1T is not having a bed cap. She honestly likes the truck more than the SUV, but wants verticaly larger and completely weather resistant storage. The third row seat in our previous car she never really used and she even told me she'd prefer the pickup truck with a cap over the suv.

Anyone's thoughts?

I'd buy a bed cap in a heartbeat!

More "how is it designed" than "what's the price". I'd love to have a cap for the bed that either allows use of the cargo bars or has an integrated t-slot design. I don't want a full-height cap but a few extra inches under the cover would be ideal.

Yep I completely agree, would definitely have to be able to put the cross bars on top still, and maybe two or three inches of height would be nice, but the aesthetics obviously factor into it.

If it was less or equally priced to the camp kitchen I think that would be my buy-in ceiling.

I would love for it to have a integrated push button for the tailgate and the glass to open, and/or individually open.

Is it feasible from a design perspective?

Just thinking, it would be great if we can have a locking bed cap using the rails. But you’d have to clear the roof spoiler and the side aero wings.

@Yellow Buddy I honestly think there would be some type of gap using the large space above the bed area that houses the tonneau cover as kind of a void space to envelop the spoiler.

Some kind of external analogus button, or almost key fob like proxy feature?

I'm assuming any cap would have to have "physical lever" buttons on the side of the cap that you press in sideways that lever down to press the bed rail button underneath. Hopefully well-integrated into the cap design.

I'm also hoping there's a cap that uses the Rivian crossbar mounting mechanism. Latch/unlatch quickly and easily from inside. Bonus if lock can be rekeyed to use the same physical key as a set of Rivian crossbars.

Super-bonus to add "roof distance apart" crossbar mounts on top of the cap itself so you can use Rivian first-party crossbars.

I think the real tricky point with any cap will be accommodating the cabin rear fins and spoiler. Can't make a simple box shape cap, it will absolutely have to be custom for Rivian. (Or be set back an annoying amount from the cab.)
