Interesting bug in android app - try a trip planner and change between all purpose and conserve mode. You will see that conserve actually result in lower(!!!) miles on arrival.

Here is a random example:

I have noticed something similar. I mostly drive in All purpose but when I do switch to conserve the miles on arrival goes down instead of up.

One way this could happen -- if you only use Conserve on highways and use All-Purpose around town then your average lifetime efficiency will be lower in Conserve mode. The app might be using that number without being smarter about it.

That's what I would guess as well.

Question: I see there's a charge stop in there, correct?

Is it possible that it's just assuming and factoring in you need LESS charge if you're running conserve, and therefore not topping you off as high?
