Yakima Roadshower or Waterport

Has anyone bought/mounted a pressurized water portable shower unit? Like Yakima Roadshower or Waterport? Interested in having water available for hosing things off after beach/mountain biking and/or shower when camping. Seems like a good fit with on-board compressor. Had assumed mounting in the bed would be the best option, but could also fit in the gear tunnel. Any experience out there on this?

I plan on getting one, definitely bed mounted. Wouldn't get solar heating in the gear tunnel.

I have one on my camper van and it is great for summer trips, will heat water to 20 degrees plus over ambient in the sun and using a compressor makes it even better.

There is a big void space under this panel in the large pack trucks that I am planning on having a water tank and pump built into. Just have to find time to pull all the stuff off and take some measurements.

certainly bed mounting gives you the advantage of solar heating, but if there is a version out there with a electric heater, then mounting it in the gear tunnel you might not need that solar heating. but then a long run to the compressor hose,.....

Thats certainly possible but if you are adding a tank to the gear tunnel and an electric water heater you might as just install a pump too and not bother with the air compressor.

I could see a 5 gallon basic plastic tank, a 1 gallon water heater and pump all installed in the gear tunnel, probably a cheaper setup then the road shower.

My setup (in my mind): Tent over the bed with an awning, shower, and cargo basket over the cab.

To that end: What have folks been told when trying to order two sets of cross bars. I see a truck on Instagram with two sets, but i am 99.95% sure it's an employee rig.

I asked my guide this question. You can’t buy 2 sets with the truck unless you get the Rivian tent (comes with a set) and then add another set from the adventure gear. You can always buy a set from the gear shop, but not at the pre-March 1 pricing.

If you can wait two weeks, buy the RoadShower from REI when it is 20% off in their Anniversary sale, and then you have a year to try it out. That is how I buy all my expensive sporting good equipment.

What? I thought they were completely unavailable. I keep looking at Yakima's site and it just says "Archived". Been wanting a road shower for a couple years now.
