Adventure Gear?????????? I would hardly classify a spare tire and rubber floor mats as "adventure gear". The only "adventure involved would be getting a flat tire without having a spare.

If I ever get my R1T, I'm sure that I can come up with a set of rubber mats from WalMart for twenty bucks and a steel wheel and tire that fits for about $250.

Not having a full size spare on an adventure, fully off road vehicle was just nuts to begin with and poor design and to now not have a pseudo spare at all……I need to to go count to ten.

Have some perspective... They just announced a small but notable range bump (good news).
They announced an increase in the rated range, not necessarily a range bump.

Ford earlier this year in that they decided to do testing with heated seats vs HVAC controls which resulted in the rated range going up. In the real world there was no impact, only for ratings and marketing.

Maybe Rivian did do some tuning, but I haven’t seen anything about it. Until then, I can only assume it’s only the rating.

Ummmm isn’t it all rated range. Everyone’s actually will be different.

What I mean is they could very well tune software to have an actual real world impact on range. Whether that be acceleration mapping, thermal management, etc. While each person would be different this would in theory provide real world increases across the board.

If they did, I would love to gain insight into what they changed. But the lack of it makes me suspect it was only a change in their testing methodology/reporting which wouldn’t actually impact real world range - like the Lightning. Only the reported/rated range.

Its all still in the Gear Shop for purchase, I guess Rivian just won't include that stuff with your initial vehicle order now. Assuming to streamline the process?
Maybe their doing this to keep the initial price below the 80k rebate amount.
