Looks like they have finally released a longer version for recessed hitches like the Rivian R1. Anyone got one yet? Looks great. Sounds like downside is quite a bit less weight capacity.

I don’t have the new “long version” but I do have a Mach 2 Std length (original) and I can report it works just fine with my 2025 R1S. When installed so that the spring loaded safety pin is in the hitch hole (see pic), there is about 3/8” clearance between the rack and the bumper (see pic). When folded, there is plenty of clearance to the bumper and tailgate (see pic). Hatch door opens when rack is in the folded position. Rack must be in its lowest position to open the tailgate. I have never tried it on a R1T.

I have done several very long trips on the interstate and plenty of rough roads, many local trips, no issues.

My 1Up super duty rack didn't fit the R1T by itself, but worked fine with a Harbor Freight receiver extension and additional anti-wobble lock.

Thanks. Unfortunately the previous model is not available anymore. Looks like this will be the model going forward. I cant quite remember what the old weight capacities were but I believe it’s quite a bit lower now. Still excited since lots of others have mentioned that the old model didn’t quite fit properly (yours does seem to).

Yes, sorry, I never paid attention to the weight limits since all of my bikes would be well under it. I do recall reading that they will handle eBikes which are by far the heaviest.

But like you said, since they are no longer available, it’s pretty much a moot point.

Yikes, that is major, especially for 3 bike... almost 50%. I think some EV bikes weigh over 80 lbs. so even one tray is borderline. The sum of my 4 bikes weigh < 75 lbs so I am obviously well with the limits of either rack (although only have one extension tray for a total of 2 bikes). I hope this doesn't hurt their sales. They make a great rack.

Many e-bikes allow for the removal of the battery and the seat. I know that Also normally weighs 80 lbs but without the battery and the seat it comes down to 55. I think you could put 3 of those e-bikes on the newer version.

I wasn't aware you could easily remove the batteries. That makes sense though. However, removing the saddle could prove problematic unless they have devised a solution that assure the owner exact position upon replacement.

I believe the also bike seat just clicks in so should guarantee the proper position. Probably not so much with other e-bikes.

Yesterday, I JUST returned my Mach 2 within the 30 day return window to get the newer one with the longer hitch. I have a 2026 R1T and I didnt like how close the original Mach 2 was to the bumper. It worked, but I didnt feel comfortable. I realize others have no issues, but it was very close to the bumper. Quikr is sending me the new version and I only had to pay return shipping ($41 incl insurance). I am thrilled that they came out with the new version and were willing to swap it out. I dont have ebikes and wont for many years.

Several more photos of how the original Quikrstuff Mach2 fits on an R1S are HERE. I have been very happy with the rack; in fact one of the things I like is how close it fits.

How close was close on the R1T bumper? similar to what is posted above of the R1S? and could you still lower the tailgate with the rack mounted?

I know you’re asking about the R1T tailgate but for what it’s worth, you can lower the R1S tailgate with the rack installed. The rack has several tilt positions. It is designed to tilt even while bikes are mounted. So I can open the tailgate with/without my bikes mounted by tilting the rack.

Yes, I got that from your previous post. I am trying to get the other person to put more meat onto the bones of their post—i.e. "too close for comfort", but how much in actual measurement is that? is it the same clearance or tighter than the R1S images you shared—so that the post is more meaningful to me... as well as anyone else wondering the same tomorrow, next week, next month, next year... And, more importantly, was there an actual compatibility problem with tailgate being down.

Found this on YouTube short, of the regular version on a T, if it helps anyone else. Clearance looks about the same as the R1S.
