I reserved my R2 on March 11 and was told that I probably won’t get my R2 until the end of 27. Anybody else heard something similar? I also heard they have about 300,000 reservations.

No one knows but that's probably a good estimate. I did mine July '25 and I give it a 50% shot I get to order this year.

One thing we know from the R1 launch combined with process mentioned in the June 9th announcment...literally no one can tell us when we might get to order regardless of reservation date or current ownership. If you have a reservation there is always hope! Even with a first minute reservation and owning two Rivians I hope to ignore everything and be surprised when I get the email.

I am in the same boat... Although the people at Rivian I spoke with at the events said for sure by July I would have a car and that has been my target thought all along, July-Augus delivery. I suspect its a very small % of total orders that wants a LE car. Seems like most people want the premium or lower trim.

Yep : total # of reservations minus the number who don’t want the LE minus the number who want the LE but not with the offered int/ext color options first available and then some randomness of proximity to a SC, current ownership, and locale

What's funny is I have friends that put a deposit 2 months ago and they want a LE... I believe they will get one in Nov. I suspect the number of people willing to take what's currently available to be about 20k total units.

If you're flexible on price and style you could probably have one by year-end '26

I'm a first hour reservation, but I'm unwilling to compromise on my interior and exterior colors. I suspect there are a lot of others like me. So although I WILL be buying an R2 (actually I plan to buy two ...), I'm not going to just take whatever is "on the lot". I've done that before with other cars, and I'm not going to do it again.

Limitations? If you don’t want purple, forest green or a white interior then the LE is a good deal.

Yep the op out because of int/ext options may very well net some later reservations

Sorry about that.... I figured I'd shout it out to the [digital] world of people who might understand the feeling.

The wife is quite tired of hearing that from me, and the cats seem to only pay attention when I have food with me, which makes me suspect it isn't the R2 they're interested in.
