Wow! This is going much further than I ever thought. Why do you want a Rivian if you don't like the looks?
Just friendly Sat AM conversation, sir! Was just curious on your thoughts. Yeah I can see how being super low does change the look.Wow! This is going much further than I ever thought.
I love the style of it when it is in normal or off-road height.
I understand and appreciate why it lowers at speed. I just think it looks dumb and reminds me of a busted air suspension on LR/RR.
I hope this satisfies your interest regarding my likes and dislikes. But then again, I always forget that these days no one is entitled to have their own opinion so…
Yep, the Rivian clearly looks better with more clearance. This might be my 4x4 bias. I've never liked lowered trucks or large rims (though I don't ever want to go back to 15" rims). That said, as an EV the ability to be low, and then be cranked up for off-road use, is essential and worth driving a 'city' truck on the highway. Lower height is probably also safer for the other party in an accident, though with the weight this is moving I'm not sure I'd want to be hit by one at any height. Everything is a compromise - Rivian strikes a good balance for me. It may, or may not, do so for others.Just friendly Sat AM conversation, sir! Was just curious on your thoughts. Good find...although driving slow around town in conserve mode, while blasting "low rider" will be pretty amusing haha ?I'm not sure how much control there is, given this from the manual. Seems like highway travel will always be at low ride height.
