I'm a Day 1 reservation holder (10:28 AM), previous R1S owner (VIN 215), though I no longer own it. Rivian's website, and Support, both said current and previous owners would receive priority at launch.

I completed an R2 demo drive on 6/9, live 2 miles from a Rivian Space and 12 miles from the Burbank Service Center, and uploaded my Lucid lease agreement showing it ends July 1, 2026 and selected that I want the LE.

Other than Support confirming my reservation is active, I haven't received any timeline emails or an invite. A live (non-AI) chat representative told me everyone should have a timeline in their account by the end of June.

If the R2 was really available for sale, why can't I order one now? (rhetorical question) This is the weirdest soft release I've ever encountered. It will be 3 weeks next Tuesday since R2 "available for sale" and I still can't order because you have to be invited to order. Make it make sense. :rolleyes:

I'm starting to think maybe Rivian ran out of batteries for the R2. ;)

R2 is not readily available. Rivian is in the very early part of the production ramp up. They build up their production rate over the course of this year. Largest portion of 2026 R2 deliveries will be in Q4 of this year.

Day 1 reservation, confirmation email was 1:10 pm eastern. No previous Rivian- will be our first ev. 20 minutes to a service center. located in NH. No order email yet. 😕

No invite to order. Day 1 deposit. Living within 30 miles of 3 service centers. Not receiving any emails from Rivian about it. Never even got the "you'll know by end of June" email.

Took a test drive and it was very short, around 10 minutes long. A bit disappointed with the short duration, though the vehicle was fine. Apparently they are. doing a reservation schedule for two vehicles but they only have one vehicle. I get it, it's new and in high demand but still doesn't feel good or satisfied by the experience.

I am not a day 1 reservation holder but we have had our T for over 4 years now and live less than 20 minutes from the Chicago service center. If I had gotten a day 1 invite we probably would have ordered one. Now that the hype is over and I still haven't been able to do a test drive we may hold off for the R3X. The R2 was always going to be a place holder anyway.
I’m in exactly the same boat. Decided to hold out for the R3X as that’s really the one I want.
Carvana is getting our R1T today. It’ll be the end of our Rivian journey for now.

March 8th reservation. Not a Rivian owner. No lease. Less than 60 miles from a Rivian service/showroom and 90 miles from Normal. Nothing yet. I'm starting to think that I might not have to settle for the dark interior. :)

We're waiting for Coastal Cloud, so it doesn't matter too much.

Me. I'm a Day 1 reservation and own an R1. I don't plan on converting to an order now that I have an R1, but kept the reservation just in case something happened to our R1 in the meantime.
