Got it. Day one R1S pre order in Los Angeles. No Guide, no email except saying prices are going to increase. Bummer. Unbelievable actually.
That really sucks. Sorry man.

oof. Well, I guess that lessen's the sting ever so slightly. That F150 Lariat order I have just got a lot more interesting.
Yeah, even if they slap on a 5k ADM, my Lariat will still be 12k cheaper than my current R1T config.

The tech and EV/auto sites are going to go crazy tomorrow over this price increase. Expect RIVN to dive :crying:

Wait, so it's no longer Taco-Tuesday? Fudge ... what am I going to do with all these tacos!? Can I trade em in for "fats"? ?

One last thought: you can't have this many fuckups in a row without it being on purpose.
100% agree.
To be honest with you, ICE was my first thought after this. It seems like all EV truck pricing and timing is designed to get you to buy ICE. I am leaning Ridgeline.
As a Pilot owner, I would recommend you dont. :)

I'm really disappointed like everyone else. But I'll hold out and keep my preorder incase they come to their senses and keep the prices the same for preorder holders. Otherwise I might be out too.

So wait, Elon increasing the pricing of Tesla's vehicles is in by no way anything similar what RJ just did with Rivian? Not even remotely close? C'mon now ...
With Tesla the price increases were swift, gradual, and only applied to future orders. Here Rivian has given the impression (I know, not a guarantee) to longstanding preorder holders, particularly LE holders within weeks or months of delivery, that their pricing will not change, then introduced a 15-20% increase at the last minute. That's a huge difference.

As our production continues to ramp up, we want to share new information that affects your Rivian preorder.

Vehicle base pricing and the cost of certain options, upgrades and accessories have increased. All packages of the R1S will now only be offered in a 7-seat configuration.

We’re in the process of updating your Rivian Account page to reflect these adjustments and we will send you an email notification when the update is complete. Until then, all product and pricing updates can be viewed in our configurator.

These price increases — the result of inflationary pressure on the cost of supplier components and raw materials across the world — will allow us to maintain product excellence as we continue investing in electrification for our shared future. We remain committed to offering compelling products and helping drive competition, inspiring as many drivers as possible to switch to electric vehicles.

To that end, today we’re also announcing the introduction of Rivian Dual-Motor AWD for both R1T and R1S. Dual-Motor AWD features one motor for each axle for exceptional power and control. The system is designed to excel both off-road and on-road, going from 0-60 mph in as few as 4.0 seconds while still delivering all-wheel traction. Deliveries are planned to begin in 2024. We are also introducing our 260+ mile range Standard battery pack, with deliveries planned to begin in 2024.* Dual-Motor AWD and Standard battery pack are available now in our configurator, where you can find more information on each.

We’re grateful to you for being an early supporter of Rivian and helping drive the EV movement towards an enduring and livable world. If you have any questions about your preorder, we’re here to answer them.

Thank you again for being on this journey with us.

— Team Rivian

Don't let anyone fool you. That is a solid truck. It's not a hard core off roader like an R1T, Raptor, or Gladiator but as a truck it can get a lot done. Just make sure it fits your needs.

Seems folks very close to delivery aren't seeing this increase. I wonder if that applies to all March/April holders?
