I have expected a possible price increase but not this much.

I don’t blame RJ, inflation is rampant. BUT I am priced out.

Don’t even have the same credit card I used for the deposit it’s been too long….think after 3+ years of holding they could as least keep the price for the LE…..easy decision to cancel just need to email and figure the logistics out I guess

I am quite disappointed as well but the price was always too good to be true. Just checked on the Model X which is the closest vehicle for comparison, the entry price is now 105k without adding the faux self driving suite. So for me, even though the R1S is now 93k, it's still a relative bargain compared to the X. But yeah, it's still quite a shock to the system to see something jump 20% in price without any warning.

IMO. They shouldn't have increased prices to those reserved prior to this email. It's a total bait and switch. Couple hundred bucks, I'm ok with, 20% on these prices, no way...

My max pack config will go up by almost $15K. Since it’s not due until mid 2023, I’ll hold on to the reservation. I’ll be in a better place to evaluate R1T, Lightning and Cybertruck as we get closer - I’m expecting price hikes across the auto industry so tapping out now won’t help unless I get an ICE truck now (if I can order/ find one) and then reevaluate the EV truck situation in a couple years…

I was already right on the edge. My increase is over $10K. Despite my adamant support for the company for many years, and the great interaction I had with RJ last year. I feel deceived and offended. Guess I just gave Rivian a free loan for a couple of years.

I unfortunately have to cancel. It's a very sad day for me.

I agree with you...two weeks ago I was told no price increase for LE holders...lying is worse than not saying anything or "more info soon"...I guess they were more interested in the extra $100mm in revenue from the approx. 10,000 LE holders than honoring their pricing...sold my shares at $140...bought back in at $60 and now cutting my losses before the shares crash because of massive cancellations and less new demand...I can almost get a Porsche Taycan Cross for the price of the R1S LE

I’d also throw in the vote option a “gonna cancel if the price increase holds at delivery order” that’s the camp I’m in…I would have to imagine if their orders plummet from this stupidity, they will have to pivot and say for “future” orders or something like that

Mine has increased by about $15k ($105,200), but I’m still in. I had an early Hummer EV reservation that I cancelled about a month ago, dealer was honest and told me the ADM was 20k, so I was looking at $135,000.

You should have switched dealers. I paid MSRP for mine.

I'm in the wait and see camp. Hoping enough blow back that they come back with a "oops we messed up" Would be fine with a we have to increase 6k or so but to come out of the booth with a 16k increase on the truck I have configured , just looked and it's at 92.2k but doesn't have tonneau cover (3k)...

I also have a R1S on order that's still showing at 77625.

Just not a happy camper right now and not singing the praises of Rivian as I was just Monday to coworkers (3 of which also have orders)

Oh well, that did it for me. I was annoyed, but accepted, some spec changes like lidar and electro-chromatic roof, but this is ridiculous. I reserved on Jan 2019 and delivery not due till Oct so I have some more time to decide, but if the price holds, I certainly won't move forward.

I'll wait a few days to see if they change their tune and add a cutoff date. Otherwise I will cancel for sure. I already have an F150 Lightning on order that I should get in July/August.
