I see people talking about colors in their "build". Is it the case that I will not be able to pick my color when my order window comes in August? I've changed my build on the website multiple times so I'm not really sure color factored into when my window will come....at least I really hope not!

You're good...Saving a favorite on the Rivian site has no impact on your timing or what you end up ordering.

The math ain’t mathing. They are only supposed to make 20k R2s this year. Yet the latest date seen is early 27 for people who just reserved? I reserved in Feb 26 and got an sept-oct 26. I figured at least mid to late 27.

The email says R2 Performance with Launch Package will remain available for you until it's your time to order. Since I won't be ordering until about a year after it's my time to order (when my current lease is up) I wonder how long they'll hold that Launch Package, and whether it will include RAP1/Lidar in a year. Would be cool to get lifetime Autonomy+ AND RAP1/Lidar.

I made a deposit the day of the announcement and got Dec - Feb but I had opted out Launch edition just because I planned to wait until at least January.

Yeah, my March 12, 2024 reservation isn’t giving me an order window until late this year in the Bay Area.. who knows?

I'm not a current or previous Rivian owner but do live close to a service center and selected All standard equipment on the Launch Edition R2. No leash involved but do plan to trade our '23 Model Y LR when the time comes plus cash buyer, no loan or lease. Will be happy if they are building the new computer with Lidar models by then but it wouldn't stop me from taking delivery as is since UHF does what I need already and getting Autonomy+ for life means it will benefit from the later advances anyway if I understood their presentation. Just not ever be full eyes off like they are targeting in a few years.
