Obviously it’s Ai. I built an agent to pull the data, analyze it, and update the tracker daily so everyone here can follow what is happening without digging through rows manually.

I didn’t realize we had to file a disclosure with the Ai police every time we used a tool to make the forum more useful.
And thank you for doing that and posting the information back here. I appreciate the updates and see no reason why you should post a disclaimer of how the data is analyzed.

It’s an Internet forum not a thesis paper.

In the chart, do VINs starting with X represent a different series than those starting with 0? Or are people just using a filler digit before giving the last 4 of their VIN or something? The highest VINs I see in the chart are 02206 and X 2100. Does that represent roughly 4,000 vehicles VIN and soon released? (Allowing for some skipped VINs, as seemed to happen with the Cybertruck release)? Or does it just represent about 2,200 vehicles?

Apologies if this has been asked before, but it's a 31-page thread, and it's not an easy thing to search for.

People are just using a filler digit instead of the 0

No EV's...yet
There appears to be a duplicate entry. Rows 87 and 91 (I think it was) are the same person, same VIN etc.

Received invite on 06/17, didn't order until 06/27. VIN received today. CC with 21. Location: CA.
Exact same configuration as my order. 06/16 order in AZ. I think there’s been a mix up. 😉

Pattern observations

1. Launch Green had the strongest daily signal today.

Two of the three new or updated VIN rows were Launch Green. This is a change from the prior pattern where Launch Green looked slower than Catalina Cove and Half Moon Grey.

2. Catalina Cove still remains the leading VIN color by count.
Catalina Cove picked up another VIN in Idaho and now appears to slightly lead Half Moon Grey in the unique VIN data.

3. Lease activity increased again.
The new North Carolina VIN is a lease. Leases are still a small minority of VIN-assigned rows, but the last few updates show lease VINs starting to appear more often.

4. California is still the largest overall cluster, but today’s movement was outside California.
Today’s new or updated VIN activity was in Idaho, Illinois, and North Carolina. That suggests the rollout is broadening beyond the dominant California cluster.

5. The Southeast/Mid-South pattern got another data point.
North Carolina added a Launch Green lease VIN with a 7/25 delivery date. Combined with prior Tennessee and Texas activity, this supports the idea that more regional lanes are opening beyond California, Missouri, Arizona, and the Mid-Atlantic.

6. R1 ownership still does not appear to be a primary driver.
All three new or updated VIN rows today are non-R1 owners. The broader unique VIN data is still nearly split between current R1 owners and non-R1 owners.

Logistics read

The rollout still looks more consistent with regional logistics waves than strict reservation-date order.

Likely flow remains:

Normal, IL build batch → final QC → rail/truck release → regional auto ramp → truck to Rivian service/delivery point → customer delivery

Today’s additions support that model because new VIN activity appeared across multiple regions rather than one clean reservation-order sequence.

What changed today

  • Tracker grew by +2 rows
  • VIN-entered rows grew by +3
  • Launch Green gained two VIN signals
  • Lease activity gained another data point
  • Idaho and North Carolina entered or strengthened the VIN map
  • No new PA/NJ/DE/MD movement in this pull
  • California remained the largest overall cluster, but did not drive today’s new activity
Items to monitor in the next pull

  • Whether Launch Green continues catching up
  • Whether lease VINs continue increasing
  • Whether PA/NJ/DE/MD/VA get additional VINs
  • Whether Idaho and North Carolina are one-offs or signs of broader regional movement
  • Whether Catalina Cove keeps its slight lead over Half Moon Grey
  • Whether assigned VINs convert into shorter delivery windows
Bottom line

Today’s data shows moderate movement: +2 total rows and +3 VIN-entered rows. The strongest daily signal is Launch Green movement, with two new Launch Green VINs, including one lease. The overall rollout still appears logistics-driven, with VINs appearing across regional lanes rather than strictly by reservation date.

Delivery timing signal

The meaningful delivery update today is VIN 02158, now showing an exact Aug. 7, 2026 delivery date.

This continues the loose pattern where higher VINs are generally lining up with later July or early August timing, while lower VINs are more commonly tied to late June or earlier July dates.

Agent rollout theory update

Today’s data strengthens the regional logistics-wave theory. The only new unique VIN allocation was in Oregon, moving OR to about 3 unique VINs. That makes the Pacific Northwest lane more visible in the VIN data.

Bottom line

Today’s meaningful VIN change is one new unique VIN allocation: an Oregon Catalina Cove / 20” all-terrain / purchase build with VIN 02158 and an exact Aug. 7 delivery date. Catalina Cove remains the leading VIN color, and Oregon moves into the next tier of VIN states.
