My configuration price has NOT reverted back.
Instead of refreshing every 15 minutes, I am going to wait until tonight before checking again.

Patience my friend. I don't understand why so many of you expect this to be changed instantaneously. They probably spent weeks, if not months, changing the system to reflect the new pricing before the initial announcement. This is going to take at least a few days, if not weeks to sort out the configurator to reflect proper pricing for everyone. RJ said it himself in the email..." Thank you RJ. Saved me a trip to the Volvo dealer to look at an XC90 Recharge Extended Range.
I still have some worries re Rivian’s long term as presumably they need money and the delivery timescales are not quick enough to deliver that income.

Have the XC40 recharge, just fair warning that their tech is a huge miss and their team are pretty lost with dealing with it (e.g the GPS has no idea where the car is, navigation completely useless, phone app nonexistent, etc…). That said it’s night and day from a driving standpoint over my Model Y. These EVs built on established chassis/manufacturing programs are going to have a big leg up on these new guys from a comfort POV for a while I think.

Pretty much the same option I was looking at - and a potential OSD trip. But our minds were set for the RIS and Rivian as a company. So yes, it's been a good day - with no idea what (or even when) the future brings. But for once, I am trying to stoke myself NOT to go for instant gratification by looking at the Volvo or the iX options.

Agree. I figured I would wait a week and then check. So frustrating when you’re looking for an update and it doesn’t come.

I also didn't cancel...albeit, I was tempted to.....thinking that this could happen after the internet firestorm. I expected a reversal to a nominal increase due to the real uptick in manufacturing costs....either way...Wow!

Weird how Polestar did so well with Android Automotive, but Volvo didn't.

I didn't cancel my order but started flirting with the idea of the Lucid Gravity which will not be out for another year plus and getting an extra 150 mile range for about the same $ as Rivian with new price increase. This has me sticking with my original order for sure. I appreciate Rivian and RJ acknowledging they F'ed up and made a huge mistake. Rare in todays world. Just eat the loss and get the product on the road to sell more trucks and SUV's.

I had the same question. I really just wanted 5 seats, not 7. Hauling stuff is better than hauling people. Stuff doesn't tell me how to drive.

Wow was I wrong regarding a reversal! Yesterday I posted several times that Rivian would not roll back the prices.

Rivian is back at the top of my list. Anxious to see my configuration rolled back to what it was.

I was going to hold my order until contacted by a guide and then cancel. I still might if they don't make the R1S as a five seater
