I gave up using covers because it was too much hassle to remove them and access the sub-trunk. I have a Shark cordless vacuum that does a great job cleaning up dog hair. Just vacuum it like you would a carpet in the house. (The key thing is the rotating carpet brush.) There’s always lots of dog slobber in other parts of the back that need to be cleaned up, too.

This works great and would work great on your pictured mess. I have two Saint Bernards which make me vacuum our house every day of my life.
I think I got it at Target, but there are a bunch of form factors around.

We have a glove that looks like like a gimmick but works well in couches, I would think it would do the same for your vehicle.

Deal: Pet Hair Removal Glove Cat & Dog, Electrostatic Reusable Hair Remover Tool | Upgraded washable 5-Finger pet hair remover works for laundry, couch, carpet & car seat, removes dog and cat fur easily

This is the way.

Also, a liner for the area helps keep it from getting that bad, in my experience. That automotive carpet really holds onto pet hair.

With my liner, I just have to use the glove thing on the tailgate now and then for maintenance.

How dare you remove the blessings from the dog gods. Dog fluff is the essence of life. I don’t think I own anything that doesn’t have dog hair on it.

😀
ps tell your dogs I say hi.
That is too funny and too true! LOL

Dogs say hi back :)

All one piece, and it actually forms up into a coherent unit better than I have it there, the corners attach and the side flaps have adhesive/velcro backing you can use to secure them.

I have had two golden retrievers for the last 35 years; one older, one younger. Believe me, I sympathize. The best tool to get dog hair out of carpet is a boar’s bristle hair brush. You can find them in almost every drug store or well stocked grocery store. Work in a circular motion. That’s the most effective way. It gathers the hair very effectively.
Good luck and keep that brush in your Rivian.
