I was thinking some kind of cover. I use a furminator brush that cleans up nicely but still takes 15 min to get it all

If you're looking for a physical barrier I would also get a heavy blanket, like the previous recommended moving blanket. Hair will collect on it but it's easy enough to wash.

I have an R1T and a 75 lb Dalmatian. I bought one of the back seat covers over a year ago. Very good quality and easy to install/remove.

Second this. I have a Weather tech for the back but got Canvasback for the tailgate and even my dog's wiry fur doesn't really stick to it

I got the Carhartt canvas cover from Bass Pro and it works well for our two Pyrs.

Also recommended Dyson cordless with animal head. It does a great job getting dog hair out of that carpet.

I've purchased these for the last four wagons/SUVs I've owned; you'll forget about the price in the first year when you realize how much cleaning time you save. They are machine washable too, but frequent washing is probably going to ruin the waterproofing features.

130lb Great Pyrenees road tripping in the wayback of an R1S here. Even with a liner there's enough hair that's worked its way around the edges, under the seats, into the front and on the headliner that it looks like 90 year old Austin Powers' chest wig. This sucker leaves the upholstered surfaces looking brand new. Night and day vs. hoovering or any of those sticky roller type methods. Might scratch the plastic though so be careful.
