I have "unofficial" confirmation that my delivery window has been compressed rather significantly...

Anyone else with a delivery out of Bellevue in the "4-6 week" window? You may want to do some recon at the Service Center tomorrow...
Yours is sitting our there right now, isn't it? ?

Now just imagine that the phone app would start your vehicle and you could drive it away! ?

But how would we be able to tell yours apart from ours?

Mostly excited for you, though I'm still a little bitter that your Feb 2019 order for the exact same config is running ahead of our Nov 2018 one :p

I hope the delivery happens s00n!

Omg, bitterness gone. We're doing the paperwork right now.

Trade-in value was good for 2007 FJ Cruiser.

Weirdness w/ the proof of insurance step (they want proof that you've switched the policy to the Rivian before providing a finalized delivery date for that change to take effect -- seems they are big on trying to upsell their insurance here). My policy covers new and replacement vehicles for 30 days and I'm pretty sure state law requires them too. Waiting for some clarification there.

The actual document signing phase goes to an external partner (OneSpan), and that redirect seems broken right now.

Figured I'd live blog while waiting for those issues to be resolved...

Super exciting! Are you financing with Rivian? Haven't heard much on that front lately and it'd be good to get some first hand insight. Hoping (?) I'll be doing the same thing soon...

No, we're just going to pay cash. I was really hoping to get through the process before wire cut offs today just in case a weekend delivery date is available, but with the e-sign provider hanging... :/

I am having the exact same problem right now with One Span. My guide said they are working in this as we speak.

Exciting! +1 on continuing to live blog. Did you shop around for trade-in estimates with Carvana/vroom etc.? Is the difference negligible?

The Rivian quote was actually quite a bit higher than Carvana (though the Carvana process was a bit more detailed, so I'm still not sure if we'll get the full initial quote) and above the trade-in range on KBB. The data point does seem to suggest they aren't systematically low-balling though. Fair pricing, sales tax offset, and reduced hassles -- it's a no brainer for us.

No, really! The signature step and the schedule delivery step on the website are currently both still glitching out on me. But supposedly it's here in Bellevue, has passed inspection, and is ready to go.

I don't know how to give them money yet, but if they're expecting a wire, it's officially too late to get it out the door before Monday. They also seemed really adamant about needing proof of insurance with the Rivian's VIN specifically printed on it (don't know why given we have a 30-day grace period). But without an effective date, I'm not going to request that. So the window may be closing on having my aunt agent send that over to us before the weekend.
