Does anyone know of a way to specify the driver selection order?

The Scenario: When we picked up the brand-new 2025 R1S, the "dealer" set up my key first, then my wife. We are retired and so we tend to drive places together, and when we both have our phones, our R1S ALWAYS chooses my wife as the driver. I drive 99% of the time when we are both in the car so I enter the car in panic mode every time trying to change the driver before my knees crush my chest or trigger the air bag or something.

I drove with my son the other day and we had set him up as a driver about 6 months ago when we were out of town. Sure enough, it ALWAYS chose him as the driver instead of me.

I guess I could do some more testing, but it seems like the driver list is operating as a stack (programming term)...Last On First Off.

Can I change this order in some fashion?

I guess I could remove myself as a driver/owner and re-add myself, but I could easily see how the ramifications could be unexpectedly significant.

Have others run into this issue? Would love to see a drag and drop capability on the Settings driver list.

I've always noticed it tends to prefer the first person to get into the car, any adjustment after that requires switching profile on the center display.

Yes i'm in the same boat as you. I'm the primary driver, even shared the digital key with my wife, her phone was set up second originally, but it always defaults to her. always, so i always have to switch it to my profile when getting in when i'm with her.

The R2 manual says it will select the key closest to the driver door for the profile.

It seems to be working in our R2. Maybe they can update the G2 R1 for that as well, not sure anything they can do for G1 R1.

I'm convinced our R1T gen 2 just likes my wife better and prefers her to drive. Most of the time it sets things for her. I have gotten into the habit of looking at the screen before I press the brake pedal to see who it will adjust for.

Every dang time my R1T tries to squish me when I get in with my five foot nothing wife. I’ve had to let her get in and swap driver profiles before I get in just to avoid the smush.

Same here! I’m do wonder if it’s the cell phone signal strength. I have an iPhone 13 Pro and my has a 16 pro max.

My wife and I do have the same phone, but after the most recent update I noticed it wasn't happening or wouldn't change from my profile when we were running errands and getting in and out of the vehicle. But that was only about a day before she took off for travel, so i'll see if it has gotten better with the latest update after more testing when she's back.
