Lol. Sorry! Want me to give it a shot? I just need your credentials. ?I tried after seeing success reports and before whining publicly![]()
You can complete step 8 and schedule delivery BEFORE you sign anything...I tried after seeing success reports and before whining publicly![]()

Yeah, what a rollercoaster. I think I feel that bitterness from earlier in the thread is coming back...Dang. Sorry man!
Let us know if they have your truck wrapped on the transport. Really hope so. Would hate to see a room chip on the front after 3 years of waiting. You can complete step 8 and schedule delivery BEFORE you sign anything...

I think they are intentionally avoiding disposable plastic for transport. It would be on brand.Let us know if they have your truck wrapped on the transport. Really hope so. Would hate to see a room chip on the front after 3 years of waiting.
Maybe someone cancelled and got bumped up since it was his exact config?Im sure this is super low on your list, but have you guys asked how they missed the delivery estimate (in a good way) by so much? Wasn't it 4-6 weeks, then 2, and now like... 1 from the day you were notified?
I'm so confused how they didn't seem to know the trucks were made, were awaiting the software update, and then were on a truck... what Tuesday?
Literally no negativity in the question. It's just surprising.
did Rivian actually under promise and over deliver? Re: an estimated delivery window.Wow! They told you 4-6 weeks , but it's actually happening this Monday! So awesome.
I would not let the Service Center people do any paint correction/protection work. It is highly unlikely that they have hired people with experience in this. When visiting my local service center I was able to closely look at the managers Rivian Blue R1T. The paint had a ton of orange peel as well as a ton of swirl marks. I'm pretty sure I will have to do a bunch of work to the paint once I get my truck.I'll be curious to hear how the paint looks when you all get the trucks. Is it full of swirls? Did they just do a basic cleaning job? Did they buff it out and detail it?
I wonder if the service centers offer any after market paint protection too. I'd probably jump on the opportunity to have them apply some PPF and ceramic at the SC.
Touch up paint chips? You would be okay with that?I think they are intentionally avoiding disposable plastic for transport. It would be on brand.
There was some uncertainty / variability around how long they would need once the vehicles arrived from transport to inspect and prepare them for delivery. It seems like they may be expecting to touch up anything necessary before completing delivery.
