There's only 15-20k launch edition orders? That would be nuts

Even though I have a very early order date, I have an estimated delivery date of the first half of 2023. This is because I opted for the Explore Package. I guess that I will just have to see how it goes. I hope that by the time that we get our truck, all of the early production bug will be worked out.

Disappointing but not surprising. I guess my Sep 21 order forecasted for 2022 Oct-Dec was wildly inaccurate, or based on mass cancelation expectations due to price hikes.

Don't forget that it also includes priority for Adventure trim with large pack. We don't know the pre-order breakdown but that strategy does not appear to have changed. The Oct-Dec 2022 deliveries will probably not be on time, but you will still be ahead of max packs and explore trims.

The closer I get pushed to 2023 the more likely I am to just wait for Max pack. Hmmm.

I might be alone in this but I think it's just a matter of time until they ax the max pack. The cheaper dual motor variants make more sense. They can't afford to lose more pre-orders, just for appearance sake, so I think they're waiting as long as possible to announce the max pack is "no longer viable".

my SWAG for LE would be around 10-12k LEs were only available for a very limited time, and many folks chose Explorer or Max Pack over LE at the time.

Rivian says mix of R1 to RCV is the same as what they originally forecasted. Whatever that means.

It's mostly chips and batteries. The RCV very likely uses a lot fewer chips.
And wiring harnesses from Mexico. He also mentioned it's more of a labor impact than supplies in this case.

Also mentioned its issues with allocation, not output, from foundries. No one wants to bet on the new guy ??‍♂

The guy during q&a literally point blank range to RJ asked him how many Amazon delivery vehicles have been made. He did not even come close to answering his question. They would not say what their actual production numbers were for anything. It must be really bad. With these pricing configurations down now they have an out for providing delivery times like they promised. I can't see anyone getting a solid delivery date for a vehicle unless it's already been built. And there aren't that many of those either.

I pre-ordered an R1S in Sept 2019 and my delivery window was Oct-Dec 2022. Looks like another Christmas without a Rivian.

I think way less than that. There are people in June/July estimates that have non-LE R1Ts

Wow. Very disappointing earnings call. They have seemingly **** the bed in every imaginable way.

As both a shareholder (LOL) and a pre-order holder, I'm really starting to wonder wtf they are doing.

This was most shocking:
https://electrek.co/2022/03/10/rivian-q4-results-loses-2-billion-revises-production-25000-evs-2022/

Rivian confirmed that it produced only 1,410 vehicles so far in 2022, which is barely more than they did in 2021
How they hell did they have almost NO ramp in production from Q4 to Q1???
