Any "March-April" delivery people contacted?

Called rivian 3 times in the past couple of weeks and they assured me I will be getting my R1T May or June 2022. I put a reservation deposit on 09/2020. I have To sell one of cars, and bit hesitant on relying on customer service with out being assigned to a guide. wondering if any one had a similar experience?

My pre-order was 6 months ahead of that but I have a July - September window. I wouldn't trust anything until you have a truck ready for delivery. They are making some good progress now, but it all depends on how long the parts supplies hold up.

Received my R1T last night! My time frame from guide contact to delivery was about 2.5 weeks. Delivery was super easy and Bryan, the Rivian rep spent an hour going over everything including a test drive. Super nice guy.

No Delivery Date

Same thing happened to me once my truck was in "delivery prep". That's what they called it and not inspection. Heard nothing for a week, then last Friday evening got the email to complete the purchase agreement, then I had to wait until Monday to get the insurance cert from my broker and once they had that, delivery happened Tuesday (yesterday).

My understanding is that you get the 8 step process email once the vehicle is ‘ready to go’. Is that ready to go in Normal before shipping or ready to go once it has arrived at your local service center?

I was July 2019 order date and am in SoCal. I think the configuration has a lot to do with how they are doing deliveries. Seems all trucks to date are either lauch green or Rivian blue with black mountain interiors. I assume that those were the most popular configs so they are trying to blast a bunch of those out first. My truck is approximately the 2500th one made so they are still super early in the build cycles.

My 8 step didn't pop up until my truck was in their Costa Mesa service center. I paid in full and didn't have a trade in so my 8 steps were super quick and easy. The insurance was the only issue. You have to have an insurance card with the truck VIN or use Rivian's insurance which the portal was giving me issues so I went with my own but it did take an extra day due to that.

So does that mean Costa Mesa delivery is now open? There were some doubts in another thread that they would be using LA because it wasn’t open yet.

I just found out that after having a specific truck and signing the PBA, switching wheels to dark 20”s, from standard 20”s, now requires a new truck being found with that exact configuration and a new PBA being signed. I didn’t think wheels would be a big deal but just shows you how they are delivering these early vehicles.

I'm stuck now waiting for a manual valuation of my trade-in. The website says it should take ~2 hours. Fingers crossed!

@Lonkyoung nice truck and congrats. Do you have a side shot of the LA Silver with the 22's? I am still torn between the LA Silver and White, but pretty set on the 22's. Also, did you get the off road package or were the tow hooks just included? I know there has been some back and forth on that topic.

I didn't get the off road package. The tow hoooks were included.

Mine is stuck there too. Thought it was because they haven't verified my DL in step 5 yet.

I've just gone through everything too, paying cash so easy deal. Step 7, Payment, shows N/A for everything...and I imagine it's doing that because the docs in Step 5 haven't been verified yet. Hopefully, that'll be completed soon!

I added the VIN to insurance (not going through Rivian)...so they better now deliver quickly since we're technically paying for it on the policy.

Ditto on the tow hooks without adding the off road package. My Rivian delivery guy said he thought they were all included on the LE so no idea what's going on.
