Have any of you tried to park in the city? How do you feel about the length of R1T?

Although I have driven longer and larger vehicles, I have never owned one this long. When I look at a Chevy Traverse up close, it’s length and wheel base look significant. R1T numbers are even larger. How do you feel about living with it day to day?

Also I appreciate a report of how durable the grin factor of ownership is as time goes by

It's not a small vehicle. The bird's eye view camera, the pretty tight turning radius, and the sensors all around the vehicle do help though.

Has anyone with an R1T tried towing with it? Curious if it has all the standard hookups (incl brakes?). I was asked at an RV dealership if it had a trailer brake hookup. I had no clue. maybe that's not standard...

I had the exact same thought, but no, it shows you nothing but onboarding in the app from the time you finish the 8 steps until you actually take delivery.

Not that it matters much, as I'll be finding out next week, but still curious to know and maybe others are as well.

Does the Rivian have a setting where it will recognize highway speed limit signs and control the truck's speed within those set limits. Such as, if you want to set the speed to 5 mph above, or below, the road posted speed limit sign......"Speed Limit Sign Recognition" Is this located in the Owner's Manual?

This is not a current capability. I am 98% certain it recognizes speed limit signs, but there is no reference to it anywhere.

Tapping this in the app will drop a pin in your mapping app of choice.

I have not seen any way to request the vehicle play Marco Polo with you.

Aaaaand now I feel that I have to have a "Marco" button in the app that causes the R1 to shout "Polo" and flash its lights. I feel like this is a critical feature enhancement that Rivian should push up to the top of the pile.

Has anyone tested the included portable charger? Got my truck today and found mine to be defective. My wall charger has not arrived yet so kind of annoying. Guess verifying the charger is not one of the pre delivery checks.

I use it every day (I am waiting for an electrician to install the wall charger) and works great.

Thanks Jared. Below is where I had asked that question in the past, but I didn't give enough information to Iwantatesla. I know Ford has it and I also saw it in a Tesla......I like the idea of coming into a city and the vehicle automatically adjusts the cruise control speed to the current speed limit, with your settings (above or below the speed limit). A good way to avoid speeding in speed traps.

Does anyone know if Rivian has Speed Limit Sign recognition? I suppose they do, since Ford has this feature, but I'm not sure about GM.

Can anyone tell us at the highest suspension setting, what is the height of highest point on the roof? I assume it would be the measurement at the shark fin.

Just curious if there is need for concern should someone hit the wrong button in the garage.

I’d be interested in seeing a video up close of those LEDs with the hazards or blinkers on. On our Hyundai Nexo, there is a full light strip blinker in the mirror + 2 extra LEDs at the tip. They all flash yellow. Even though the 2 LEDs at the tip seem overkill and unnecessary.

I like the IR theory ?. Any current owners willing to slap on some blue tape and do a quick test? Not sure why I care so much? I think I’m losing it ?

Yeah FM only, truck doesn't have AM. Spotify and Tune in work fine

I don’t know the height, but I have a low garage ceiling height and it was fine at the highest suspension setting. Also, to get to the highest setting requires going to off road mode, and than an extra button or two is required, so it is not easily done by mistake.
