Here is my #1 question: Can a Rivian safely get 200 miles of range at 75mph highway when it's 15 degrees F outside?
African or European?

ICE only :(
We have that one and it is very nice. Worth the extra cost over no-names on Amazon? Always hard to tell. It's made from a very durable material and has some nice details like the various ways that it really secures to the seat. We also have a cheaper one that just hung without any lower attachments, and we definitely didn't like it as much.

I looked as some of the vented ones, but the mesh looked like a potential weak spot that a claw could rip through. The Kurgo's zipper in the middle adds two functions for us: 1) We can unzip it just enough to allow the rear AC vents to get some cool air (we have a Q5, so the rear vents are located similarly to the R1, at about seat height on the center console) and 2) You can unzip it fully and actually use one of the seats for a passenger.

@godfodder0901 @timesinks @fastwheels et al,

When the app says it’s adjusting the interior temperature to “a comfortable temperature”, is that just whatever the climate control was last set to, or some predefined number like 70f?

Has it rained in your area? Sorry if it’s been answered but how waterproof is the truck bed with the tonneau cover?

Not sure. I'll keep a better eye on it, but it does not give you the ability to define what 'comfortable' is to you. Come to think of it, it has to be Rivian defined as I generally have the temp set to 62. If I had to guess, I would say it is most likely a range, like 67-70 or something similar.

I’d hope it was using whatever you left it set at, since “comfortable” is real subjective.

Yeah, that would make sense, but I know that isn't the case based on my normal temp setting.

I’ve figured it out. It’s set at a comfortable temperature… for the gear guard samsquanch wearing a puffy vest

So after watching the outofspec intro video:

Can you have alexa open the front trunk while the vehicle is in drive or reverse?

I can imagine some very amused children with that feature.

Have you heard about the membership costs? What it currently provides and will in the future. Is it free for a year, how much will cost in the future?

They have no idea yet. There is no interface anywhere to manage any subscription or trial, much less details about what it includes. My speculation is they want to get more of the items actually launched (e.g., the RAN) before going live with the subscription program -- and I'm kind of thinking they'll offer a year trial once they get the program off the ground. For now, the hotspot is just free and on. And there's no RAN station anywhere to charge from.

oh yeah that's a viable possibility although it's not what I was personally told. (I am open to the very real possibility I was given inaccurate Information). If they are IR I would think they would give off a red-ish glow when in use... but I am certainly no expert on IR LEDs
I’d be interested in seeing a video up close of those LEDs with the hazards or blinkers on. On our Hyundai Nexo, there is a full light strip blinker in the mirror + 2 extra LEDs at the tip. They all flash yellow. Even though the 2 LEDs at the tip seem overkill and unnecessary.

Yeah - I have measured, and confident it will fit - was just curious for those parking in a single garage how practical it is. I have a 3 car garage and my Raptor takes up two of those spaces. I made a deal with my wife that she can have the double side back when I get the R1T. Just wondering how miserable that will be.
Here you go. This may help. On the left is a 2018 club cab Raptor. You can probably figure out what the other one is. ?
