Do we know if this is still relevant on a vehicle where there is no mechanical connection between any of the wheels?
I know my wife’s XC90 states in the manual not to rotate the tires. Since doing this they are lasting much longer.

How fast can the R1T be propelled along by flapping the mirrors?
During Rivian’s press drive in the Rockies, I recall seeing the mirrors folded in while the trucks were moving through some tight spots on the trail. Anyone else recall this?

R1T owners, how many total miles your new trucks had upon delivery?

I figured since there are a few new owners in here, we may want a place where you can ask your questions about the R1T directly to owners. I'm sure @timesinks, @JDMD, and soon @bowhunter and I would be happy to answer what we can! Also, it may be easier to read this thread if we stick to questions about current features vice discussion or debate about future features.
Realistic charging times? If possible with different power input (50kw-250kw). The battery is massive so is critical to see whether they stick to the fast charging times

There‘s a photosensor behind the rear view mirror. The thingies on the side mirrors are LEDs for sure
Yes this..... I am absolutely positive these are LEDs. I am also quite positive many employees have no clue what they are because they aren't enabled. When I asked about them it was the engineer that said they were ditch lights but weren't enabled. The other employee (from marketing) had no clue what they were. Maybe they never enable them (I am confident they are low priority at best). They have never been communicated as a feature so they aren't beholden to enable them... But I think they will at some point since they are still there.

I guess there is a small chance that it was cheaper to keep them in the mirror than to have a redesign to remove them. But I think this is much less likely because as more of these that get delivered it's going to cause owners to ask why they are there...

Maybe they are IR LEDs to help with camera night vision?

I have a question about the number of climate control zones. In the 20220228 owner’s manual, it shows this on page 49 which seems to indicate 2 zones:
Rivian R1T R1S Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]! AA3B35E8-0275-42FD-859A-2C8C1FDE9ECC

With the current 2022.7 update, when you use the rear climate control display does it act as a third zone controlling the entire 2nd row or when you make adjustments on the rear display does it also affect the front row?

I suspect the manual needs to be updated and there are 3 zones but I figured someone with a truck could do a quick test of adjusting things from the second row and see if the driver and front passenger stay as-is (3 zones) or changes are made up front, too (2 zones). Thanks!

oh yeah that's a viable possibility although it's not what I was personally told. (I am open to the very real possibility I was given inaccurate Information). If they are IR I would think they would give off a red-ish glow when in use... but I am certainly no expert on IR LEDs

I'll try to post something on this later this week. But bear in mind, your mileage may vary. Not all 350KW chargers are created equal, for example. Depending on the max amps being delivered by the 350KW charger, you might see a max charge rate of 150KW-ish or 180KW-ish. So, don't count on every charging experience being equal.

Wrong answers only;
They are clearly laser range finders to detect potholes and initiate suspension travel. In high power mode they also blast rocks and debris out of the wheels path. They are not yet active because they have proven problematic around pets.

I think what the people who were with the truck told you is correct, I mean if anyone would know…

But this is the internet! Wild speculation is a must. ?
