My Rivian Driver+ almost killed me

semantics. car was clearly steering, accelerating, decelerating on its on as you can gather from my post. And it clearly didnā€™t work properly. To brush off the problem and say itā€™s ā€œless credibleā€ due to semantics is childish.

My Rivian Driver+ almost killed me

I was using the full driver plus. Not just highway assist. Edit: @VSG Not sure what you were trying to differentiate. Per Rivians website, Driver+ is the overarching system. Highway assist is a sub category within the system.

My Rivian Driver+ almost killed me

First few weeks into ownership (Dec. 2022) I was using Driver+ and was approaching a sudden slow down on the freeway. Initially my R1S started to slow down, but then suddenly it took off like I had fully pressed the accelerator (I did not) as if there were no cars stopped in front of me, I had...

R2 Product Launch at Laguna Beach on March 7th!

yes. Per the local ā€œNextdoorā€ website. The city received hundreds of letters asking for the city to decline the event, so Rivian canceled. What a slap in the face to Rivian. Spent ~$20M restoring a dilapidated historic building at the center of Laguna Beach only for residence to complain...

    Dumpster Truck can do Circumcisions!

I accidentally rolled up the rear windows on the R1S without realizing my little (9 year old brother) had his hand out the window touching the upper part of the door above the window. I didnā€™t realize until he screamed and started crying. The window didnā€™t stop or bounce back down when it...

Kia EV9. What many R1S buyers would be very happy with...

Our local dealer has 6 of the EV9ā€™s sitting on the lot. They arenā€™t selling as well off the bat as Kia was expecting. Should see some good deals on them this year. Test drove a top of the line GT trim ~$77k. The fit and finish is better than our R1S. Has much better in cabin tech than the R1S...

    Poor reliability – R1S

Our R1S Launch Edition has been in for service 6 times. Between the parts, labor hours, and loaner vehicles (~2 months worth), Rivian has spent about as much on repairs as we paid with our original launch pricing. Seems like a money pit for Rivian. We also picked up a Tesla Model Y Performance...

Loose exterior door trim - anyone else?

Already had our window trim replaced twice. Continues to peal off. Told us at service they havenā€™t figured out a long term solution yet. On the one hand we hate to waist Rivian money by continuing to have it fixed. On the other hand it looks terrible and we are worried it will come off...

I designed some 3D printed window shims to fix my Driver's side wind noise

Any chance you are selling these? We donā€™t have a 3D printer but could use these for our front drivers window.

22” Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires resulted in a negligible INCREASE in efficiency (2.07 mi/kwh) compared to OEM Pirellis (2.04 mi/kwh)

We just got Continentals on our R1S with 22ā€™s. Have found the ride quality improved over the Pirellis. Extremely happy with the continentals.

List your Rivian (Enterprise) provided loaner car during service

Shows how everything is relative. $80 is what it costs to fill a Prius where we live. Would love to only pay $80 to fill a full size SUV. Nice rental.

    Windshield seal

In addition to replacing the windshield, they removed and replaced the drivers door quarter window glass gasket and balanced and reset the drivers door. After all of that we still have a whistle in the drivers door on the freeway.

    Windshield seal

I know there has been a ton of discussion around Rivian weak glass and windshields breaking. Iā€™m curious if anyone has had problems with the windshield being set / sealed properly. On our most recent repair visit they checked around the windshield and told us it wasnā€™t set properly. We hadnā€™t...

Is the Model X now a better buy over R1S? (WARNING: NO ELON MUSK DISCUSSIONS)

List your Rivian (Enterprise) provided loaner car during service

Our R1S is in for its 5th service/fix at the service center. As usual Rivian didnā€™t have any loaners. When we showed up to Enterprise we were surprised to see 3 Rivian R1S on the lot as rental vehicles! We asked to get one of those and they said ā€œthose arenā€™t covered by Rivian, weā€™d be happy to...

Tire costs, about what Gas costs per mile.

I briefly scanned this thread. So apologies if I missed something, but is it true there are no good 22ā€ replacement tires? Our R1S has 14,500 miles on it and already needs new tires. Really disappointed. Americas tire is quoting $2,500 to replace them. Not only is this a lot of money but...

    R1S Window Trim Peeling

Has anyone else had any trouble with the exterior trim around the windows peeling? Our R1S is 7 months old with 10,000 miles on it. And the trim around the rear window is starting to peel off the car. We live in coastal California with temperate weather.
