I saw you were the latest reply to this thread and was very excited! ?
have a date set yet?
In a paradigm shift for those of us here, "Soon" actually means "in the very near future". A few of us are planning to meet in the next few weeks for our B³ Get-Together - Burgers & Beers in Beaverton. When we have details as to date, time, and place, we'll let it be known here. We certainly want anyone interested to join in, whether local or from Blaine, Prudhoe Bay, Winnipeg, Reykjavik, Key West, Ensenada, or anywhere in between.

As to my R1T, I'm having it wrapped and windows tinted and Exoshielded before bringing it home. Should be in my garage within three weeks.

The good news is that I now have three weeks to clean out my garage. The bad news is that I now have only three weeks to clean out my garage. Newton's First Law of Motion will be severely field-tested during these next three weeks. As Sir Isaac said after munching that launched green apple that landed on his head, "An object at rest will stay at rest, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force". I guess I'll find out if I'm truly as unbalanced as all of my friends and family believe me to be. Hopefully, the knowledge that the Jolly (Launch)Green Giant will be here soon provides the needed inertia/kick in the pants to get me in motion. We shall see.... ???

After three years, another three weeks will hopefully seem like the blink of an eye. Maybe....:headbang:

BTW, welcome to Spring! It started four hours ago. Let the Adventures begin!

Did the drive up and down I-5 today, 300 ish miles. Truck did great, and definitely got a lot of looks, waves and thumbs ups!

The highway assist works well on I-5 and 205, doesn’t seem to be available on other highways. I do wish it could change lanes, but hopefully that comes with a SW update.
s12dxer,

I'm so happy for you! Thank you for the update on the Highway Assist. It's good to know it works on I-5 & I-205. That should simplify life on game-days to and from Autzen. You mentioned the range at 300'ish miles. Are you running the 21's? Also, is the ElectrifyAmerica charging station in the Gateway Shopping Center your one venue for DCFC down there? I know there are others in Salem, the Portland area, and along the way, but I'm also curious as to if anything else is available close to the freeway in the Eugene area.

Please think about joining us as mentioned above. Would love to meet you and let us all start to get to know one another. If not up here for , down there one day soon....

I think Fiddler's Green could help me fill the Gear Tunnel with some new clubs.

Great to hear your good news and thanks again for the Intel!

soon, forest edge and all??

May actually be out that way this time next month. Beaverton isn’t much of a detour from Vancouver island after driving out there ?

Thanks, great to hear you'll be joining the owner ranks soon as well!

I'm running the 20's with offroad tires. I'd say "real world" range at the moment is looking like 275 or so with some reserve. I drove up to east of Sandy yesterday and was right at 50% (135 driven, truck showing 140 mi remaining) after leaving home at 100%. Charged on a level 2 up there at someones house up to ~65%, then drove back to Eugene and had 12% (30 miles) remaining. I'm sure it will take a while for the computers to adjust things accordingly.

Yeah the only compatible DCFC in the Eugene area that I'm aware of is at Target on Gateway. There is a Aerovironment near Arco on gateway as well but its a Chamedo (used to use it for my Leaf). There is one an electrify America DCFC at Wal-Mart in Albany, which could be used to "top-up" on the way up or down from Portland.

Haha yes Fiddler's is a great place to fill the Gear tunnel, I haven't tried yet, but I think at least two sets of clubs will fit ;)

Would love to meet up with folks soon!

Crash,

It'd be great to have you join us anytime you're out this way. Even if you miss a group meeting, let me know you're coming and we'll rally some Riviots and grab a bite and a beer, and maybe explore the Gorge or the Coast Range.

Regarding my R1T, no "....FE/4ME". So far as I've seen and heard, both here and from real-world sightings, no FE or OC deliveries anywhere yet. Am I wrong? Given the choice between a date-certain delivery with Black Mountain or waiting for a future Forest Edge at some indeterminate date, I opted for an R1T ahead of this Summer. Better yet, It'll be here ahead of my 65th birthday in May. I reserved it when I was 61. I figured that I'm ready to start my second childhood/Adventure "sooner" than waiting until "later", whenever that might be.

The $2,000 savings will offset some of the accessories I ordered. Small consolation, but life is short, and I look forward to getting in as many (s)miles as possible, starting in April....this April.

I know I may regret it later, but as they say, "An R1T in the hand is worth two in the bush". Better that quote than "A BM in the hand....." ?

It’s so exciting to see so many deliveries in the Portland area! I would love to join a meet up and drool over everyone’s R1T’s. I suppose I will have to bring my most unique car, a small kei car from Japan that’s right hand drive.

Regarding the garage part….I think that’s all men do, clean the garage on the weekend, it’s a never ending project lol Do you have a charger installed at home yet?

Tylee,

I just messaged you about swapping contact info.

I have the ChargePoint Home Flex level 2 charger, but have yet to have it installed. That's part of the reason I need to clean up my damn garage! It's funny, but when I had the house built 30 years ago, I had yet to meet my wife. Accordingly, I jokingly(?) told the builder I "need a house with a 4-car garage and 1 bedroom and 1 bath. He laughed and said "That might not be the best set-up for the long run". I said "I think you're right. I'm short-sighted. What will it cost to make it a 6-car garage?" ?

I told my wife the same thing 3-4 car garage, one bedroom one bath. Or just have an “open floor plan” where the living room is the garage haha. Luckily she is a car enthusiast too, but she didn’t go it.

Funny how women seem to have an extra helping of that gene known as "Intelligence". I got an extra dose of the "Walk along the sidewalk and jump up to slap the awning" gene. It's served me well over the years....?

A buddy of mine was able to take a drone up to check the latest deliveries at the service center. So exciting to see the influx of vehicles coming in for Portland deliveries!

Holy crap! I went by there before sunrise two weeks ago today, and the only vehicles there were the two flatbeds. They had just been moved to the fenceline, and now I know why. Not that I stalk the place or anything.....????

I really really need a test drive and to see some of the exterior/interior color options in person before finalizing my purchase, even if that means delaying my delivery. According to a CS rep it looks like drive events may be coming to Portland “soon” (and hopefully before my May delivery date).

Wow that’s awesome! Thanks for sharing! I count at least 25. A lot of launch green. I have forest green configured, it would be great to see that. What colors are you deciding between?

Right now I'm between Glacier White, Launch Green, and El Cap Granite. Limestone was potentially on the table, but from all the info that has been gathered so far it sounds like it's going to be a pretty flat grey (I was hoping it would be greener like the RAV4 Lunar Rock color).

I did see one Forest Green there last weekend when I stopped by during a bike ride. All the colors are absolute fire, you can't go wrong really.
