space enough to store a phone cable under this indentation?(having abandoned the idea that a pair of singlssses would fit there ?)

Not to store the cable under there, but to run a cable from the USB-C port under the closed lids to the rear.

Not yet, but seems like a highly requested feature. You can enable climate remotely via the app, but as soon as the pup moves to the front seat and triggers the occupant sensor, they get local control and the app gets locked out. Unclear how long app-enabled climate will run.
Teach dog to operate climate controls and you’re all set then?

I’d hope it was using whatever you left it set at, since “comfortable” is real subjective.
That what my Bolt does and I don't like it. I'd prefer to be able to set it in the app, as on a cold morning I may want a different temperature than on a hot afternoon.

For those that have been off road on what you might consider a really dry dusty road, the type that fills the bed with lots of dust, I'm curious to know if you're getting dust inside the cab? Maybe from opening/closing the doors or other reasons? Do you see dust filling the door cavities?

Reason I ask, my 2019 Ram pulls in more dust in the cab than any truck I've ever owned, and I HATE that part about it.

How did they even shoot a photo like this... it looks NOTHING like this.

It's raised up and provides ZERO storage:

you could get away with it on Apple Music - it does pull up a playlist and displays it on screen.

I tried pandora on it as well it isn’t as robust.
How about YouTube Music?

Doubtful this is Rivian playing favorites. Could be Spotify is quicker to reduce bitrate based on signal strength. In general though, Amazon is capable of serving higher quality source than Spotify (Spotify HiFi has yet to launch). If they were really trying to push Amazon Music, Rivian would offer a first class app for that instead of only playing through Alexa.
Poor quality is one reason I switched from Spotify to YouTube Music.

Any pictures of how dim the screens can go at night? Most of my driving is after dark on rural back roads and I don't want bright screens ruining my night vision. How is the backlighting? When dim, are the screens closer to true black/off or do they have a lot of light bleed?

Along the same lines, how do the screen graphics change during daylight, and when you turn on the headlights? AKA night mode, etc.
Kyle at Out Of Spec talked about this during their towing test. Rivian needs to OTA a better auto dimming feature (according to him).

It’s just the lighting. The glossy bits make it look recessed. In your picture it’s easy to see that there is a raised part which the indent in the lid goes over.

I'll test youtube music at lunch

Actually it seems Alexa only supports youtube music over bluetooth and not native integration from reading online.

Yesterday on a relatively flat highway at 46 degrees F, I was able to get 260 miles using about 85% of the battery in conserve mode for 95% of the drive time. Cruise set at 73mph. All accessories on (hvac, seat heat, etc)
That would put you at 305 for 100% battery. Granted, nobody will be doing 100-0 runs...

Thanks for testing. That's a bit disappointing.

Curious why it matters? The truck will only pull as much as the EVSE says it can. So unless you're in the habit of something like plugging a 40A EVSE into a 30A socket, it shouldn't be an issue. And most of the smarter EVSEs allow you to specify the charging current limit. So if you had a 40A or 48A EVSE and wanted any vehicle to charge at no more than 16A, you could set that limit in the EVSE.
I was thinking that I wanted to do it on the truck, but I can see your point. Ideally, out of courtesy for the owner of the beach house, I didn't want it to guzzle down power when plugged in - more of real slow charge or keep topped up.
