What's scary here is how that Hummer still has that much power and momentum. As bad as I think a heavy R1T is in the sense that it's a 3.5 ton wrecking ball waiting to happen to those that do not learn how to temper that buckling wild stallion, the Hummer EV is that much worse! ?

I just can't believe how tiny the Rivian looks next to the other trucks. It's quite petite.

To be fair, it is in its lowest suspension setting. I'd be curious to see it against the others at max height. It'll still be smaller, but will it look more substantial then?

Sure, but I wasn't really talking about just the height. The Rivian is just so much smaller of a truck. But I guess that's not surprising considering how big trucks have gotten these days....Rivian is in more of the Ranger/Tacoma size class, but that's pretty small.

Edit: I was just looking at the screenshot from the video with the Hummer next to the R1T from the rear and it definitely doesn't appear that the R1T is in a low suspension setting judging by the fender gap over the rear wheel. In low setting, the lip of the fender is just over the top of the tire, almost like low rider style.

Again... R1T for the "W"

Now image the handling and ride differences. The frunk, bed and cab size is all the Hummer has going for it.

The Rivian is rear wheel steering and a better 360° cam away from automotive perfection.

I'll say a "launch mode" isn't necessary, but come on! It's a 900hp truck?

It deserves it.

You guys are over-estimating the speed difference between the Rivian and the Hummer. We are talking a small fraction of a second faster with the Rivian in the quarter. Not exactly Earth shattering. Not to mention from a dig the guy driving the Hummer had the slowest reaction time vs the other two if you watch it in slow-motion.
