For those tight garage parking scenarios where more throttle finesse is required, would switching to one of the off-road modes (perhaps rock crawl) with reduced throttle sensitivity help?

Is there a hole in this? or water accumulates in it after the rain? If it drains, can you tell where water comes out of?

If anyone traded in a vehicle with Rivian when they bought, how did you disclose any issues with your existing vehicle? I have a 2013 Model S I will likely trade in (at least get a quote for) and it has a few issues that I want to disclose for honesty's sake. I've never done an online trade in before so I am not sure how this is done. Thanks.
I provided the VIN#, mileage, and condition for my Outback. I got a quote almost instantly. I was offered $16K which was pretty much right in the line with the Blue Book estimate:

The only caveat I would put out there is that they want an acceptance pretty much right away so if you want to 'comparison shop with CarMax or something else, do that 1st.

will be hauling stuff with the tailgate down. Since there is a camera on the tailgate and one above the bed, I'm hoping that I will still have a backup camera with the tailgate down. Anyone try this? On the Ridgeline I had, if the tailgate was down, the backup camera only showed the road under the tailgate.

Unfortunately, that is exactly what happens on the R1T. View is completely obscured. The truck knows the tailgate is down, would be super easy to have the camera switch automatically when the tailgate is down.

I'd like to know how well the air compressor works for
  1. inflating a SUP from zero, and
  2. inflating bikes tires - road, gravel, and mountain. include tire size, starting PSI/BAR, ending PSI/BAR, and time to inflate.
Thanks! :)
So the air compressor's "inflate to setpoint" stuff is practically useless. As soon as it detects it hit the setpoint it shuts off. Problem is the sensor is 20 feet from the end of the hose line, so the actual output pressure is no-where near the setpoint. I was hoping it would be able to do some sort of automatic pause-continue routine but it doesn't appear to.

I spent time working on a system that would do this well and I'll admit it's a pretty difficult task to accomplish, but not impossible with a simple microcontroller.

Those of you that have driven in dirt and mud, do see a potential corrosion problem in this area? Would you recommend protecting it?

I think I read somewhere that Rivian applies a piece of PPF there and also on the Gear Tunnel door. Those who have taken delivery can comment on this.

I'm borderline shocked that heating and cooling can't be turned on from the app. I understand the delay of making the physical vehicle. I don't get why basic modern EV software features are not implemented.

First, sincere tip of the hat to all those folks with vehicles who are answering the community's questions. As others have said, you are doing Rivian's work for them, and it shouldn't have to be that way.

My question: where are the microphones, or microphone (singular)?

Any owners play with A Better Route Planner or similar website? I was wondering how accurate they are, since the R1T is so new. And I do realize speed/weather will play a factor.

Part of me has been reconsidering going to the max pack recently. Sometimes I like to do day trips a couple hours away, and return the same day. Large pack I would be on the edge of leave/return home without charging. I don't necessarily want to add another 30-45 minutes to those trips at chargers, which aren't really located in ideal spots. Max would probably cover them (first world problems). I am a projected 2022 Q4 delivery, so I don't think going to a max pack would delay me too much.

That is true. Mine had PPF in both areas. If I still had acess to a 3-D printer I would fashion a set of louvers for the vents behind the front wheels. I would make vanes to let the air through and yet deflect the crud downward. If anyone wants to play, make me a set.
