Just picked up my R1T today from the factory. All the staff were great, as I was pulling out, noticed that there was no audio that could be played thru the Meridian system (phone, radio, Tunein, Spotify, etc..) Interestingly other sounds (blinkers) went thru the speakers fine. I worked with the Rivian staff and did hard/soft resets with no improvement. Had to ultimately drive with headphones listening to music...Anyone else with any similar issues. Checked with Rivian staff and all software is up to date.

You got it from the factory and no one quality checked the audio? Or took you on a test drive and asked about hooking up Spotify or Tune-In? Mine was delivered with the radio playing and the delivery gent asked if I wanted to set up either.

No problems here. Still trying to figure out how to turn off warning sounds and other things that lower the music, or just not interrupt the music.

Have you tried Alexa?

My music is working fine as well. Only used music from my phone over bluetooth so far.

I had that happen to me as well the other night. Audio had been working fine for a few drives earlier, then took the truck for a drive to get supper with the family but no audio the whole way. Music shows that it's playing, can change to radio as well but nothing coming through. Blinkers and enabling cruse sounds work. After parking and going to eat, came back out and got in the truck the audio was working again. Weird issue for sure. Hasn't happened again since.

Thanks for the replies. Plugged it in overnight and now it's working. Go figure.....hopefully it stays that way.
Just to weigh in here, I had this happen twice in 6 years on my Tesla. It seems like somehow the mute was engaged and would not shutoff. First time we stopped for dinner and it worked fine when we got back in the car. The second time we stopped at a rest area and rebooted the center screen and that resolved it.

There was several months between the 2 incidents and the last one was more than 3 years ago. I never actually figured out what caused it and because both times it cleared up I never opened a ticket with Tesla, I figured nothing they could do if it was not occurring when I took it in and could not replicate it.

Having the same problem. Just throwing it out there in case they’re counting. Like the other poster said, reminds me of when my old Tesla would do it.

I hope everyone is reporting this issue, they should be able to pull logs & fix it.

I had this issue. and found a bug, but it went away after a sleep cycle. (lock and let it sit for awhile)
If you reverse and fiddle with the audio, it triggers it. A screen reset and full power reset does not correct it. I think it has something to do with how it auto lowers the volume in reverse.

Happened to me during my test drive. Don't worry though, it was just a pre-production issue.

I got my R1T last night. Everything was working. Went out this morning and everything working. Got in to drive home this morning and no audio. I called service and they had me reboot the audio system and that didn't work. Next they had me reboot the whole truck and that didn't work. They opened up a ticket and said they would get back to me. Hopefully, it comes back on it's own like it did for you guys. Also, hopefully all these tickets will help make an update that fixes the issue.

Interesting. If others can replicate it and report the fix should come quickly.

@a_sty, can you please describe how to conduct "audio system reboot"?

Is it different than soft reset or sleep recycle which is locking vehicle and keeping all proximity devices away for 15 minutes? Some forum members including @Voronbrg above report the soft reset has worked to clear audio functions.

Please and thanks.
