Hi all! I have a few questions so I may as well make a thread with all of them.
I just found out (from a friendly forum member!) the camp kitchen is a retrofit. As somebody who is considering buying an already delivered truck without it, this is great!

1. How does service work in Tucson, AZ? From my scavenging, Phoenix just got a service center but that's a 90+ minute drive one way.

2. Will we keep the warranty if we buy privately online from somewhere like CarsandBids or Ebay?

3. How has Insurance been on your trucks? We're renting from Turo and the Turo insurance is high. Likely because it's rare and unknown service/collision costs.

Thank you so much,
Keanu

2- warranty is attached to vehicle not owner

3- you’re renting from Turo? Do you mean you will be renting out the truck using Turo services? (to recover the 140k you paid to a scalper)

1) They have mobile service trucks that they can roll out - based on another post in the forums the techs have the tools to completely disassemble a truck in their vehicles (not that they would). If they can't fix it there, they flat bed it to wherever it needs to go and give you some sort of loaner.

2) That's a rivian question

3) Insurance quotes I've seen here are inline with whatever folks are paying today for ICE trucks/vehicles.

on #3, we're currently renting an R1T on Turo and we're blown away. I don't think we have the guts to rent it out to people ourselves if we owned one. It was just that the insurance Turo charged us for the R1T rental was rather high for just a few days and we were curious if insurance for the R1T is really high for owners. Sounds like it's "normal" though!
Thank you for the answer on #2!

Edit: Also we think the 140-150k asking prices out there is too much. Waiting for more trucks to be made to drive the prices down. Introduction pricing is always sky high and only very briefly that high!

That’s pretty exciting that you could find one to rent out.
I can only imagine what the insurance premium might be.
I was surprised by how expensive the premium for our Tesla Model 3 Performance was. Much higher than the one for our 911.
I guess that’s the price to pay to drive a very heavy and very powerful EV.

For us Progressive was highly competitive for Tesla. And then Tesla Insurance undercut that even further. Plaid is costing me about 120$ a month.

As far as Tucson service goes for Rivian, chat support said "Phoenix would support you" but I'm not sure if that means mobile service or flat bed. Would hate to flat bed the car out of warranty or for any non-warranty items. Might give Rivian a call tomorrow to try and confirm.
