Rivian R1T R1S 300+ miles on All-Terrain Tires? Screenshot_20220412-000152_Rivian

I thought this was interesting. I tend to keep my truck in conserve mode/2 wheel drive. It looks that that may be helping it to cross the 300 mile/charge mark.

Nice change up from the lower numbers shared by previous 4 wheel drive estimates.

The biggest and most pleasant surprise for me so far has been how tolerable "conserve" mode is. I expected to hate it and only drive in sport, but I find myself driving mostly in conserve mode now. The regen braking is also something I thought I would hate and now I love it Challenging yourself to let go of the accelerator just right so you come to a full stop at the light is a fun little game I didn't know about before.

What's your predicted difference in mileage vs all purpose

Makes sense, OOS Kyle did 290 on the highway at 70mph right? A few miles slower per hour would've gotten to 300. I'm glad others are saying Conserve is bearable, I know Kyle wasn't a fan. I can't say I'd need the extra few miles, it's not going to make a difference in terms of stopping to charge or not. But it could be a nice "chill" mode alternative when others want a test drive.

Have you noticed a change in those numbers or quality of drive since the most recent update when you can manually change the ride height to low instead of lowest? I know that OOS kyle was particularly not a fan of feeling all the bumps in the road while in the designated lowest setting.

I suspect Rivian never anticipated that so many customers would be hyper-milers using Conserve mode as their default driving mode.

I expect I’ll only use it on road trips…There’s a stretch of road from Sweetwater to Amarillo (EA to EA) that I’ll be in Conserve and going 65 in order to make it…Lubbock is a dry area for fast chargers sadly.

Is there any indication on display telling you when there is Regen and how much? I am assuming to maximize range, you would want to minimize Regen without using friction breaks.

When we did our test drive, the Rivian employee started both my wife and I out in conserve to get a feel for the truck before moving us through all purpose and sport.

Seems like Kyle didn't like how it put the suspension in it's lowest setting for conserve which made the ride very jiggly. Is there a more tolerable suspension setting (low vs. lowest or something) does anyone know? That might be a better compromise for using conserve mode the majority of the time.
