...didn't say which model...R1S deliveries today?
I logged into my account just now, as I do 3 times a day, every day, and I see that I’ve been assigned a guide! His email and phone # were shown, so I’ve messaged him. But that’s all I know at the moment, other than his name is also Brent.Awesome! Since we have similar pre-order specs and are in the same metro area, this gives me hope that I'll be contacted s00n. Please keep us updated.
Wonderful, congrats. Please do let us know how it goes.Have guide call in an hour!
Close enoughGreat call. No big information, except that by changing my wheels last minute (AT bright to dark) I retained my delivery window. Also allowed me to request picking up at Denver SC instead of delivery. We confirmed my config, and next step is PBA getting sent over (no timeframe). He confirmed that my specific vehicle is not yet on the production floor.
Had my guide call today. Pretty much same call, intro, config lock, and wait to get PBA. What I gathered from her is that PBA will be sent once she is able to get a Vin locked for my config. Said I’m still on track for my delivery window.Great call. No big information, except that by changing my wheels last minute (AT bright to dark) I retained my delivery window. I had a chat with CS last week about other things, but our conversation ended with some info about the R1S rear cargo area:I think it is a bit taller inside but 3" shorter than a 5 seater would be.
I appreciate the interior length but the limited hight is going to reduce usability. I was hoping to take a nap back there without bumping my head. With the tailgate down and that kinda height, shorter People may have problem reaching in. Tailgate does not seem to be flat either in case you need to leave it open and carry something long. I definitely have to see it up close to decide if I should change back to R1T. I am sure I am in minority but I would love to lose the third row and I am OK with less comfortable second row seats to get +3” extra height overall.I had a chat with CS last week about other things, but our conversation ended with some info about the R1S rear cargo area:
Max width: 51.1”
Length behind 2nd row, 3rd folded: 51.7”
Height: 33.6”
Cargo Cap.: 46.7 ft^3 (from website)
For comparison, my LR3 is 10” shorter in overall length with nearly identical measurements for first and second row seating. LR3 rear cargo area is comparable at 44.5ft^3 and 10” shorter, but is about 8” taller.
I think the roofline of the R1S sweeps a bit more than we notice in the photos and the cargo floor is much higher than we’d expect for similar 3 row SUVs. Rivian makes up the cargo space by lengthening the vehicle compared to other 3 row SUVs.
Well 4) doesn’t sound promising. Some tidbits after talking with my guide
1) 3 person tent not currently available, so removed it (good news they would honor current pricing when it becomes available to me)
2) insurance is via nationwide
3) financing is via chase
4) sounds like they will be ”refreshing” delivery windows - not clear if pull-in or push out, but with earnings in May, I hope it is more of a pull-in
5) my guide is awesome and able to get me signed up for a first mile mobile event!
