Did you have to go through all this nonsense with your model S?
No, I bought it in 2016 so they were pretty well sorted by then.

I will say service was better in 2016 than it is now. Everything is online now, can’t reach a person if you have questions. I will be curious if the Rivian service goes though the same stages as they grow.

Wow, sounds like something the Rivian Public Relations Department would say.

With all due respect TONY
Quoting yourself, that's a bold strategy Cotton ?

We all want a little transparency from Rivian but it appears none of us will get it. Certainly frustrating but the past year plus has shown that to be an unrealistic expectation.

I'll be curious to see when the delivery estimates go live in our accounts how accurate they are.

I'm not saying you will all get your cars by end of month but they did like 90% of their deliveries for q1 in the last week or 2 of march. Although this month isn't end of quarter it will be end of delivery timeline and they may want to report that they hit x # of target deliveries in the april/march timeline. What we know is there's a lot of cars sitting at variety of service centers and that the people that did take delivery reported a few minor issues/software stuff that required some service. They very easily could be seeing if the latest software fixes those/doesn't have more issues and holding off on scheduling deliveries for that.

I'll be reaching out" from the guide. I reached out again a couple days ago, and I'll be asking for a new guide if I don't get a response by the end of the week.

To those of you in your window, but without guides - I'd personally rather that than where I'm at now.
Should there be a policy here where we name guides? Perhaps they are the same person?
I'm in the same boat (Guide contact was 3/14, limited responsiveness and no PBA since then) but I really don't like the idea of escalating to requesting a new Guide or naming and shaming Guides here. My interpretation is that Guides are doing everything they can but have very limited agency in getting VINs assigned and are not the blockers for the PBA. It sounds like a few of us were probably contacted a bit earlier than we should have been, which is certainly frustrating, but let's not take it out on customer service folks who are just doing their job.

The tone of my Guide's messages is increasingly "I'll tell you when there's something to tell you" and "I'm doing my best to make it happen in April," which tells me that it's not super helpful for me to check in more than very occasionally. I certainly don't want to add "oh great, now there are complaints about me on some forum" to her plate.

There's still plenty of time left for March/April to be right. It's easy for me to feel wronged because other folks got there trucks in a few days in March but I am trying to simmer down a bit.

I'm an "April-May".

Got on the chat with CS yesterday to ask if it would speed things up if I switched my config from Ocean to BM. The CS agent became very animated and said "absolutely DO NOT make any changes to your config as this causes delays! Do NOT touch your config at this point! Your guide can make changes at that time if need be!"

I'm not advocating for it - I just wanted to pose the question.

That said, I think there is a real difference between not having agency to resolve problems and just flat out poor communication. The former is understandable, the latter is less so, and there seems to be quite a bit of variability there too. I'm curious if that is driven by the guide individually.

If both people who have Bob the Guide are having a bad time perhaps it's an issue with Bob then, less so Rivian as a whole.

I went with initials before and feel like that is relatively safe. Where our experiences differ is that your guide at least answered you, which is all I'm asking for. Customer service is no help currently because they are trying to relay me to the guide (and rightly so, from their perspective), which leads to silence. Slow rollout isn't the fault of the guide, but having actual zero communication at all absolutely is by my standards. If they say there's nothing new, I'm a satisfied customer trying my best to wait patiently.

What does that look like on the website?
When you get logged in click on the question mark. Your guide info will be there when one is assigned.
