Had guide assigned last week, spoke with the guide on Monday and locked in the config with BM after the email about OC delay. PBA signed - now just waiting fir the next step…

I agree with you. I just emailed my guide to see if he has any thoughts on if this changes anything. I'll let you know what I find out.
From what I was told, it doesn't sound like it will change my delivery timing, but I have a fairly standard configuration on order. (LE - LG, BM, w/ 22" wheels).

FWIW here’s my guide’s response today….

….the PBA isn't tied to a timeline, however, it does move your process along. It helps our team prepare numbers for builds. Unless you have Ocean Coast, your delivery timing window will remain the same…

Had my guide intro call this morning and received my PBA while we were still on the phone. Signed and returned that.

In terms of delivery timing, she said "as close to the original timing as possible" and said it could be as soon as a week if they happen to have a built vehicle with my configuration that they can match me with, or roughly a month if I am added to the queue for a new build.

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned was that she said that they don't have the gear tunnel shuttle and asked if it's okay to remove it from my build. They are expecting it in Q3 and will honor the original price for it, but it needed to be taken out of my configuration for now in order to get me a vehicle.

Not going to get excited until I get a VIN because I've been hurt before, but this feels like progress!

I just got notifications from UPS that I have 5 packages coming from Rivian tomorrow!

Looks like my accessories are going to be delivered 17 days after the vehicle...

Maybe Im a bit dense but I definately didn't pick up on this in the email. I spoke to CSS today and they informed me that as a reservation holder with a 2022 delivery window, that I will be contacted by a guide by the end of May. The relevant passage in the email is:

" For preorder holders with a delivery window in 2022, we will be reaching out in late May to gauge your preferences and help further inform our build combinations. If you’re flexible on certain options, you may be able to take delivery sooner. If you love your original configuration and prefer to stick with it, then no action is required on your part — we’ll simply continue to update you on your estimated delivery timing. "

The guide is supposed to sort of have an introductory conversation with you about your configured options what will potentially help things along, and what will slow them down. Maybe I'm giving CSS too much credit here, but I'm 50% giddy and 50% skeptical upon learning this. Seems like its news, if they're really promising guide interactions to all 2022 delivery window holders by the end of May.

Just got off of the phone with my guide for the initial introduction. According to her, I should still be on schedule for delivery by end of May and possibly even sooner. She did say she is seeing a lot of my configuration around so hopefully they are turning them out. Literally less than a minute after we hung up, I'd received the PBA. So, now just sit back and keep my fingers crossed for a delivery..... s--0--0--n

Finished my initial call with my guide a little while ago. She called 15 minutes late after I texted wondering if we were still meeting. You could tell the meeting was a sort of scripted thing. She said I would receive the PBA in a day or so. I did not get it right after the call (like others have) and my configuration is not locked like she said she would do. I would be able to get my R1T either "very soon or for sure by the end of May". I honestly didn't learn much from this interaction and have low expectations for future interactions with my guide.

-- EDIT -- Received PBA approximately 1.5 hours after call and config is now locked.

I had my guide call today, received and signed the PBA while I was on the phone with him. I was told that I would likely be able to start the 8 step process on the first week of May and receive the R1T shortly after. My configuration is something that is commonly moving through the line and he said they may be able to match me with a truck that is already built. We discussed the charger which he said they would send once I finished the 8 steps. We discussed the Rivian membership program and he said that there was a 1 year trial membership but that they had not been informed of what happened after the year was up (pricing wasn't set so nothing was concrete). He did say that membership came with a discount on ChargePoint charging (15-20%) and off-road recovery assistance.

After the call I was sent directions for going through the 8 step process and a wall-charger installation guide. Overall my guide was very helpful and had experience with the vehicle because he was an employee R1T owner so he had answers to most of my questions. He also spoke highly of the forums.

On the bright side at least you did get a PBA completed. We have an earlier PO but still no PBA.
