Has anyone had any problem with 12V batteries needing a jump start?

can you use the air compressor to blow off stuff in the bed of the truck or does it only work if the end of the hose it attached to something?

I can test this tomorrow afternoon.

It's taken some getting used to. It definitely feels small, compared to other trucks or SUVs, and took me a while to find a comfortable position where I could see the whole screen cluster. But when you drive it like a sportscar... It's great.

It's not super chunky, but honestly, I don't like really thick wheels. I had zero problem with the wheel while I was on my test drive yesterday.

Have any of you tried using the "Vehicle Shipping" option in the "Service" settings? See the attached image.

The description for that option is "Get your truck where it's going with the most battery life possible."

I'm wondering if this would be a good option to use when going away and leaving the truck in the garage for a few weeks?

@Riviot was testing that in another thread, sounded like didn't help with idle battery drain.

I haven't tried it myself but I saw a youtube video of someone doing just that. I think you have to open the nossle as you hit play on the compressor so that the pressure in the hose isn't too high and stops right away.

I love the steering wheel, in every way. Thickness, shape, diameter, materials choice and I've owned a lot of quality vehicles over the years.....Some don't like how it looks, but I do....

Two questions:

1. For those who had EVs before the R1T: any regrets on not going with the max pack? My experience with Teslas with the mid-200s ranges made me opt for the biggest pack available. However, I know at some point it doesn't really make a difference. If chargers are 150 miles apart, it doesn't matter if you have 100 extra miles available in the battery pack, you have to make the same number of stops.

2. Anyone had any experience putting a motorcycle in the bed? I'm concerned with (a) clearance from the back wheel of the bike to the edge of the tailgate with it folded down, and (b) the wear and tear on the bed of the truck with 600 lbs concentrated right down the center. I know the R1T bed is rated for around 1,000 lbs, but they like to depend on technicalities for those numbers sometimes.

I tried to record video, but the lightning was terrible and I shake too much. You can use it to blow stuff off, but I recommend using your own chuck as the end in the kit throws out 6-9psi. My chuck gave me 13-16psi.

You have to hold down the chuck the entire time for the compressor to keep running and blow things out. Otherwise, it'll shut off when it hits the psi you set. Using my chuck, it worked well enough.

I love answering these questions, I always learn something new about the truck. This time, I learned while the gear tunnel door can hold 300lbs, the rails along the bed cannot hold my 160lbs. They look sturdy and anti-slip, but as I stepped there I heard a crack. Upon inspection, they definitely are not weight-bearing. Cool.

And then there's the air compressor max PSI. I didn't test it, but I wonder now if this will cause it to keep running...

My understanding is that Rivian wanted Yakima to design a high rack for the bed but this was the limitation.
