If they were integrated into the seats themselves.
Folding seats typically don't have the structural integrity and range of motion needed to anchor a seatbelt, so third row seatbelts are almost universally bolted directly to reinforced areas of the the body with clips to hold them out of the way when needed.

I'm hoping these first world climate control and liftgate "failures" cause many people to cancel their R1S order so I get mine sooner!

It’s kind of silly to think you can have 3 temp zones actually work in the cabin of a car. The reality is the whole car evens out to one temperature.
It’s not the car is going to maintain multiple zones of air temperature in virtual bubbles around each seat. What multi-zone climate control does is direct air of specific temperatures to specific vents. So, as an example, if the vehicle is 78 degrees inside, the driver selected 70 and the front passenger selected 76 then the air delivered to the driver’s vents will be very cool while the air delivered to the passenger’s vents will be just slightly cool. When the cabin cools to 70, the air delivered to the driver will be slightly cool and the air delivered to the passenger will be warm. At all times the driver feels cooler than the passenger even though the air in the cabin isn’t exactly what either might like.

Some (most?) systems have sun load sensors which help to compensate for solar gain by directing cooler air to the side of the car which is getting more sun. Even without, the person on the hot side of the car can adjust their side cooler so they aren’t too warm in the sunny side. Because cars are moving all the time and the sun affects the people in the car differently, the multi-zone climate control can make a big difference in comfort.

Lol seriously. My mind is blown at the guy who needs 68 degrees and his wife 78. Like, what do they do in their house?

The complaints about split tailgate functionality when it's literally the same as every other split tailgate on the market.

The concern over "only" having 4 cupholders and 6 bottle holders.

The frustration about having to downgrade to dual zone HVAC, like it's a significant affront to the comfort of their backseat passengers.

The need to have a rear zone for pets, like you can't just set the whole vehicle to whatever temperature is appropriate.

Just...chill everyone. If these issues are really deal breakers for you, that sucks, but are they really???
Oh yes, f*** anyone for not wanting to lose features they e come to rely upon in other vehicles. Rubes!

I noticed and cared: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/ask-us-rivian-r1t-owners-anything-ama.3979/post-114086

I still care because this is a downgrade from our 2006 LR3 which allows for 3 zones of temperature control: driver, front passenger, and 2nd+3rd rows

There are effectively 2 zones for air distribution and fan speed though. The driver and front passenger share the direction of air distribution (e.g. face or feet) and the rear rows share too. Likewise the fan speed is shared by driver and front passenger then the rear rows use a fan speed of their choice.

It all works pretty well and I’m not looking forward to having only 2 zones of temperature control and, presumably 1 zone for air distribution and fan speed.

I know: life is pretty good if this constitutes a major concern.
Perfectly legitimate gripe. I guess I just have vastly different perspective coming from a 2003 f150 with manual windows and doors and an HVAC system that’s either flames from hell or, absolute zero

Lack of promised bi-directional charging is going to be a deal breaker for me.

That's why I can't buy any ICE vehicles. Because they aren't EVs.

My Model X has the seat belts integrated into the seats in both the second and third row, hence my complaint.

This is the core issue in every single missing feature post: if a person hasn’t had a feature in a prior vehicle or seen a feature in every other vehicle in the same class then they don’t understand why the feature has value to someone else.

That’s fair, I get it. However, there is no need to write a post telling other people that they don’t need the feature they want. If you want captain’s chairs in the middle row I’m not going to try to convince you that you don’t need them because I don’t need or want them.

If I do write a post trying to convince someone that a feature they want which is typical for the class of vehicle is not needed then the other person will probably see me as a jerk for telling them what they need when I have no insight into their past experiences or present circumstances. I will not convince someone that they don’t want what they want because I don’t see the value in it.

On the other hand, if there is a different feature which may satisfy their need/want then I may suggest that this could be a substitute. I complain that there is no full-size spare available in the R1S and someone may suggest that there is a compact spare. Then I can explain why that doesn’t meet my needs (I go off-road and they don’t) or I may realize that the compact spare is reasonable because I was expecting the tire sealing goo as the only option.

Likewise, if someone is suggesting or desiring a feature which isn’t currently in competing vehicles then I have no problem providing an opinion. Maybe someone wants sliding rear doors like a minivan for better access to the third row without resorting to crazy complicated falcon wing doors. I could write that no other SUV does this and it may be because it will make the SUV seem like a minivan to customers and they don’t want to be associated with minivans.

The shelf on that rear window is so deep, the class at the Venice hub on planting plants in “vibrant soil” is starting to make sense now.
It's a perfect place for your Rivian Adventure cat ? to lounge, @opnwide .
