I know some don't love the motor noise, but that noise ramping as the wheels spin faster and faster gives me erections my 16 year old self could only dream of ?

Pardon me if I'm an idiot and reading this wrong, but Rivian claims a 415/420 hp rating for both motors for a total of 835.

Am I reading the video correctly that they're pulling 523/563 for an aggregate 1,086 horses?

Am I reading the video correctly that they're pulling 523/563 for an aggregate 1,086 horses?

No that is the measured WHEEL amount total.

They do not specify but normally that readout would be to indicate

HP/Ft lbs torque.

I wish whoever did this dyno run would provide more details. I can't seem to square the comment of 523 HP but with issues. Sooo collision control limits the total horsepower? Oh I see shaving off 300 hp will save your life when plowing into a tree.

WTF 5OO hp or 800 hp what is the difference when it comes to a collision.

For those who dont know what a Dyno does its a stand still rolling platform based power measurement of a vehicle. A Vehicle spins the dyno rollers and it converts the effort/time/energy it takes to spin those rollers into a HP/TQ Figure.

Modern vehicles freak out when it tries to go 100mph+ with out moving an inch (heck 5mph+). You would need to disable every single safety system in a diagnotstic mode in order to get a proper pull.
