I was originally in this time window. Got the email from Rivian about scheduling with the guide and they matched me to a truck within 2 days of talking to her. I did give them 3 configurations to choose from (the available one is Canyo Red w/dark AT's + offroad package, BM interior). The R1T is in Dallas, and I'm in Austin. Currently working my way through the 8 steps.

I told her I wanted AT wheels - dark or the normal gunmetal ones + offroad package. Told her that I might accept limestone if it looked like it would be awhile for red. She found the config very quickly already in Dallas. To me it sounds like they are just shipping trucks to service centers without attached customers to make it faster once they find a match.

Preorder date was early 9/21 - the same day the Motor Trend TAT article first dropped.

Dang man thats awesome. I am in Houston, have el cap, 21" wheels, BM but still no contact. Not that its an issue since tons of people have been waiting. I just wonder how does a person get flagged for notification. I would def be up for Red or Limestone if they were offered.

That's frustrating. I'm open to 3 colors and 2 wheels choices (AT black or standard) and I can't get a guide despite ordering a year or more before most in this group.

and you're in Cali, which is odd since they are pumping trucks out over there.

Yeah it's so frustrating. The only thing I can figure (or hope) is that there are a ton of Southern California orders they are filling the ones before mine - but all I see is people who ordered in 2021 getting trucks - but that's just what I see here and on Reddit. Hopefully those are just outliers and there are a lot of SoCal deliveries who just aren't part of these groups.

I'm in a similar boat to you in Dallas and I'm wondering if the 21" wheels is what's holding things up since we still don't see a bunch of them.

It's odd because for the most part I try not to worry/care about it. It's just a vehicle at the end of the day.

But i think we've already established that its preorder date, config, and location. However, the contacting feels extremely random. But people are getting them with late 2021 preorder dates and its just really odd hahah.

I'd change to 20AT's but honestly...do i really want to get 20" Tires that will give me less range and pay $1800? I dont know man

I would to. If someone said "if you switch to the 20" ATs you will get a guide assigned tomorrow" I'd absolutely do it. Problem is it's the guides who do that, and I don't have one ?

Yep, I'm open to a couple of different colors/wheels if it means a truck. And I only want BM interior.

@yorty @ironpig I'm starting to suspect the Delivery Windows they gave us last December are now almost completely meaningless.

Rivian has said (via two emails from Tony in late April) they'll be sending us new delivery windows soon (sometime in May supposedly), but I wouldn't be surprised if Rivian condenses all 2022 delivery windows into a single "June 1 - Dec 31" Delivery Window.

This frustrates me. My deposit was dropped two full years before yours. What is going on?!
