The Red Canyon with Black Rims looks incredible.

My number one reason for not buying a red car (as funny as it will sound) is that I don't like how the red of the backlights doesn't match the body's red. I would black out the back lights. I bet that would look incredible on the Rivian.

FINALLY! I saw Red Canyon in person today in Atlanta, and all the color except CY. Dumb luck has me wearing a legit red cotton tshirt for comparison. RC is definitely orange and my new choice.

edit: btw, this is a RC LE. I noticed the badge on the dash.

That truck is my exact configuration and Atlanta is my closest SC, ~ 100 miles away. Yet I’ve never been contacted by a guide. Sigh.

Whoa! Just had a discussion about that button with my friend (who has a 5-year-old still—my kid is now 9), and I realized I didn't know if that could be disabled or not. I also thought it just called roadside, they shouldn't treat it like 911, IMO. Yikes!

This would be a situation in which use of internal camera to send out video or image would be justified. I wondered if it is like GM’s o star. They asked if anything is wrong? The kid didn’t respond or made some stupid noise and they had to play it safe and assume the worse.

I would think, they would call the owner’s phone to verify. They definitely could improve this.

This morning I got matched to a truck! RC, BM & regular 20s. No word yet on delivery but my guide says the truck is built.

Nice! Not far off from my config ?. Is it a Launch Edition? What is your reservation date? Mine is Sept 2019, but I originally had a max pack configured so I haven't been given a estimated delivery date since I switched it to large pack

It is an LE, but she also mentioned a similar Adventure truck with 21s just entering production. I’m one of the much derided late reservations ?, Jan 22, and have no idea how my number is up. I started to wait for the later production example but the LE seems to good to pass up.

I wonder if some of the delivery mystery is people changing minds on colors but after a truck is already earmarked for their SC. ?‍

Thrilled for you!! Gotta say this is the first time I’ve been truly pissed at Rivian though. Will you be getting it in Atlanta? I haven’t even received guide contact been LE RC from the jump. Seems like the dart just won’t hit my square.

I‘ve got no explanation. I really figured I would get a Lightning and flip it for a Rivian sometime in 23. Ford’s screwed up process, especially for those of us not in the preferred few states, made sure that didn’t happen. Now it seems I might actually own an R1T before even getting to order the Ford.

I can only assume it will come through Atlanta but haven’t discussed pickup vs delivery at this stage. Looks like the next closest service centers are Texas or Florida.

Who knows what the secret code is? You did nothing wrong and I am absolutely stoked for you. I’m sure you’ll only he “adventurous” a few months earlier than some of the rest of us. Until then post pics, and tell us how awesome and worth the wait it is!
