So basically CS isn‘t being told anything. The normal Rivian charm was not there today. I’m curious how many cancellations or angry R1S folks they dealt with today.
I waited until the chat queue dropped below 50 and I was doing the same and being very polite and respectful, but eventually they just disconnected my chat session.

so... why the announcement with no follow up of sending people to The Shop? I suppose The Shop is more theoretical at this point from these software geniuses.
Thankfully it seems to be developed and deployed already. With the right magic you can trick the website into displaying it (but not displaying what's available).

Right, but is their email this morning a real update or an something else because I read it as not providing much in the way of information or clarity and then it creates all the back and forth I have read today. I have always preferred direct communication about customer orders and not blast emails but Rivian has seems to hesitate doing any direct communication unless you are about to get your vehicle. Anyway, I get your point nonetheless...but today's emails seems somewhat worthless to most of us.

Ya, for sure, my wife has an R1S that's June/July and I agree that the email is vague. I actually think it creates more confusion than it's worth and if I was them, I would have just sent the updates later this week.

This is totally me guessing, but I expect there to be negative news for a substantial group of people this week and they were hoping to reduce the strain on customer service by getting some people angry today instead :)

Personally, I will save my anguish for when the real news comes.

That is fair point in both regards, and especially on saving the the anguish until we get the actual update this week if in fact that happens....fingers crossed.

I'm not sure if people are missing this, but for me at least this could be somewhat good news. Acknowledging what many of us already know regarding delays in the Camp Kitchen, Yakima Tent, and Gear Shuttle could translate to earlier deliveries for some. I for one am more than willing to forego those items for now if it means an earlier delivery of my R1T. YMMV
I'm not sure how say awaiting a camp kitchen delays your delivery, as others have already taken delivery of their R1T's with Rivian simply giving a token for them to purchase later when available at the lower price point.

Today, CS confirmed I am still on track for delivery

Just because you HAD a delivery window does not mean you now have a new window. You (or most likely me) may have no estimated new window even if the prior window is not valid
Ok I could absolutely be misunderstanding the email but I see this as pretty binary. If you received a 2022 delivery estimate back in December, you will get an email update. You will either get an updated delivery estimate for some time in 2022, OR you will get a notification that you are now in 2023. I am assuming that even if your original window from December is unchanged, you will still get an email with that delivery window identified.

Very sneaky. Better be careful or you'll find yourself added to the @kanundrum email distro.

You could have previously gotten a 2023 delivery estimate. The way it's worded leads me to believe ternary. Window moved to 2022, window moved to 2023, window staying the same. Annoying that they can't update everyone at the same time.

So I asked CS today and this is what he said in the chat regarding another email coming out later this week (I assume it will be targeted).

I was polite as well. I kinda got the same treatment.

[Sigh} Although poorly worded, I was simply suggesting that many believed the initial delay in deliveries was partly due to accessories not being available. There are many threads here where people were coming to grips with whether or not they would take delivery without the Camp Kitchen, etc. Obviously that has already occurred. One recent chat with CS suggested that I might receive earlier delivery if I pulled the Camp Kitchen and other accessories. Another a few days later suggested that the Camp Kitchen did not necessarily make a difference and that wheel choices made no difference whatsoever. I respectfully submit that the wheels DO make a difference or we wouldn't see so many folks taking delivery by accepting other wheel choice that were already built. YMMV. I have no crystal ball, and neither does anyone else. I thought I was pointing out something that might provide a clue, but apparently no one else thinks that is a possibility.

It’s the Rivian spell/dilemma/delusion or whatever we are under..lol. I think I’m on day 1272 since deposit. If I don’t get one soon, I may switch back to my original build with a Max pack. It would be nice if Rivian could provide so specs to make an informed buying decision.

i wonder if the trucks offered in the "store" will have the new pricing or the old pricing? Or a two tier pricing in the store?? I wonder how many of us would pay another $15-20K for the same truck to get it within a few weeks vs months and months??

I really do hope that this does not become a "pay-to-play" lottery.
