R1Ss must be imminent, 1.4.1 was pushed to the Android play store today. JK.Usually the syncing between the two are a few days off more or less so maybe soon.

DC Fast Charging creates heat in the battery during DCFC. My guess is that the thermal management system is designed/programmed to direct all cooling to the battery during DCFC. It may not have enough capacity to cool the battery and the interior simultaneously."vehicle.about.vehicleSoftwareSettings.detail.newVehicleSoftware.preconditionText":"• Vehicle must be parked\n• Range must be above 35 mi\n• Must not be fast charging\n• Pet Comfort must be off"
No Pet Mode while fast charging? Not sure why that would be and frankly eliminates 90% of my use case.
So…only update is pet mode? was hoping for something a little more juicy lol. Ah well, happy for all you dog owners out there!
I agree, even though I have a dog I could really use something more practical, like dashcam recording while driving.
Nope. 100% this is the prerequisites for installing updates hence "newVehicleSoftware" and the fact that it matches the current update statement word for word plus pet mode...I think you’re all reading that string wrong. Those are conditions for preconditioning. You cannot precondition if your range is low. You cannot precondition if you’re already driving (because you’ll have normal conditioning). You cannot precondition if charging (but you can sit in the truck and have regular conditioning). And the new one, you can’t precondition while it’s in pet mode. That makes sense. Just like when driving it doesn’t make sense to use preconditioning, it doesn’t make sense to precondition when pet mode is on.
Oh, you’re right. It’s the precondition for installing the update. But you’re still agreeing with my larger point. Folks seem to be inferring that somehow this list is saying you can’t have pet mode while charging. That’s not what this list means. This is listing conditions for something else.Nope. 100% this is the prerequisites for installing updates hence "newVehicleSoftware" and the fact that it matches the current update statement word for word plus pet mode...![]()
