First look at @ “Introducing the R1 Shop” -- Rivian website to shop for R1T that delivers in 6-8 weeks

I gotta say the more inventory I see in the R1 Store the more confused I am.

Like why did they throw 20" wheels on Compass Yellow. Wouldn't it make more sense to have thrown that on the Forest Green, Forest Edge configuration? I imagine that would have sold immediately.

CY+FE is my second fav config after LG+FE, but I'm apparently stuck waiting on 20" darks.

That exact configuration has been in the Shop twice in the last two weeks. Both sat awhile before someone picked it up.

I pulled the trigger this morning on an El Cap. I gave up on Ocean Coast (selected FE), gave up on the 20s (selected 21s) and gave up on the underbody shield. Completed steps 6 through 8. Guide reached out a couple hours later, said that I should expect delivery in the next 2-4 weeks. (We'll see.)

A set of 20s for the winter will be in my future but I guess it'll be fun to have a new summer toy to play with until that day arrives. Time to go read all those threads about window tinting and dog hammocks that fit the back seat...

@yizzung you will definitely get it a lot quicker. Especially from the shop. If you can, they'll typically deliver within a week if all the paperwork is there and nothing is wrong with the truck.

Go figure? I saved my original Rivian email invitation for shop privileges.

After my week ended, and I couldn't get in again, I went back anyway from time to time, and clicked on the original link in that email, and discovered sometimes it opened a window into the shop to let me back in to see the new inventory.

Whenever I got lucky, I've posted the truck descriptions and photos for the Northwest. Let's see how long I can stay lucky?

Here's the latest for this afternoon. Looks like one R1T with RB, BM and 21"s was taken.

@yizzung yea shop trucks are always already built trucks so it’s just a matter of transport and make sure the truck is deliverable and nothing wrong with it. What's the VIN?

I'm in Las Vegas with a 11/2020 reservation.

I originally had a R1T, LE, LG, BM, 20"AT with a May June delivery window that was changed to October November delivery window.

Yesterday the R1 shop popped up on my account. It only had two trucks, both Compass Yellow one Adventure, one Limited Edition only difference was Adventure had 21" Street wheels both the same price 77,5.

I tried financing through Bank of America but they wanted the final invoice price which Rivian doesn't provide in the financing step. They only provide a purchase summary which BofA didn't like. So, just went with Rivian financing. It was easy and much quicker.

7/6/22- I took the R1T, LE, CY, FE, 20"AT. With the VIN ending in the 8000's
7/7/22- Completed 7 of the 8 steps today.
7/9/22- Got the wall charger via UPS.
8/6/22- SC called set delivery for 8/9
8/9/22- Delivered. The trucks production date was 6/22


Now I wait.

Awesome! Losing my mind not having access to the shop. I know I need to wait, but I am sucking at waiting. I appreciate everyone sending snapshots of what inventory is in there. It eases my mind.

Email. I got the "Seamless Process to Purchase Your Rivian" email in mid June. Then got a shop invite stating "You Now Have Access to Our R1T Shop" just a few days later.
