Configuration change question -- will color change affect delivery date?

I doubt I can find a definitive answer to this but- I currently have a delivery date of Dec 22/Jan 23 with an Adventure, El Cap Granite, Ocean Coast config. I had a first mile drive today and saw Limestone up close and I want to switch with maybe Black Mt interior.. Has anyone had experience switching colors and had an impact on the delivery date? I'd hate to add 6 more months on by changing colors.

Only Rivian would know for sure but I’d wager switching from Ocean Coast could improve your timing. Adventure/21’ wheels/El Cap is a configuration probably being delivered by the truckload to your region. I jump back and forth on dumping the ATs but I’m only a few months out from my window so may as well stick with it at least until my window.

I had a 2023 date. Switched to black interior with 21” wheels and I get my truck this week. Once you get guide contact you can get your truck as quick as 1-3 weeks. It can be very fast. I am super excited.

Interesting. Were you able to get an estimate on delivery date before you changed? The rep I chatted with said there was no way to tell until I changed the configuration. I don't have a guide assigned yet.

I strongly doubt that switching to Black Mountain would hurt your delivery window,

My original post was clunky- also thinking of switching to Limestone from El Cap G. I'm guessing that shouldn't hurt things much either?

Once you get guide contact you can get your truck as quick as 1-3 weeks. It can be very fast. I am super excited.

Just to add a counter data point, it can also be slow as molasses. I’ve had a guide two months and he has no information as to why I don’t have my truck (El Cap, 21”, BM)

According to my guide both of these colors are very popular and likely have the same delivery timelines attached to them.
