NY state fast charging problems

I’ve had my Rivian since Early June and I’ve yet to find any fast chargers that work. I’ve downloaded different apps (electrify America, ev connect, shell connect/green lots, EVGO)and none of the fast chargers have ever worked.
I’ve tried chargers in Syracuse, Rochester, Albany, Lake George, lake Placid and Kingston and of the 30+ Fast plugs I’ve tried , zero have worked

does anyone have success with a certain Brand of fast chargers in the Upstate NY/northeast?

I’ve called half the times the charger didn’t work, including a 30 minute reboot by rivian and nothing worked. Rivian says they’re working on it but…..

This stinks. I’m close near kingston. I haven’t used any DC fast chargers yet in the few months with the R1T but I will definitely need to.

Its disappointing other non Tesla chargers seem to have so many issues.

Curious…By calling Rivian when you have this issue at the chargers, are you suggesting the issue is with Rivian? Seems likely not.

I’ve watched other cars pull in and successfully use the same chargers that didn’t work for me (Ioniq, Bolt, etc).

Unfortunately I had the same issue on my first road trip last month.

Truck has been at the Cleveland SC since last Monday with no solution. They've admitted they don't know what is wrong and are working with their engineering team in CA to diagnose. Not looking good so far.

Any chance you have a wall charger and it gets excessively warm while charging?

I live in Western NY. I've used multiple units of the EVolve NY stations and had great success.

I have used the one in Bath, NY and the one in Oneonta. I have also used multiple electricfy Americas with no issues. I have an early truck and never had a issue.

Good to know about the charger in Bath NY. I plan on using it when I finally get my truck!

I recently spoke to an owner who has had success with the Evolve network in Rochester. Sounds like your truck is defective and requires service.

I used the EVolve NY location in South Syracuse without issue. I don't have the exact details but I believe the charge rate peaked in the upper 160KW range. I only charged from around 36- 60% SOC by the time I unplugged I think it was down to around 120KWH. It was hot out and fans and compressor were running so I probably had some thermal management slowing things a bit.
A friend uses the EVolve NY Bath location regularly with a Mach-E as well. I am hoping Rivian gets the RAN location in Watkins Glen going by next spring.

Recently completed a 2000 mile road trip from mid-MI to Provincetown, MA. Here's the list of NY chargers that I successfully charged at:

Electrify America - Dalewood Shopping Center - Hartsdale, NY (July 16)
Evolve NY - Amsterdam, NY (July 8)
Electrify America - Waterloo Premium Outlets - Waterloo, NY (July 8)
Electrify America - Walmart - Cheektowaga, NY (July 8)

While there were individual dispenser problems at the EA stations, I was able to successfully charge at expected rates. Didn't have to skip any stations due to being completely down.

Sort of sounds like you have a specific issue with your truck. Hopefully service can get you fixed up quickly.

I’m in the Catskills. I too have used the charger in Bath, as-well-as numerous EA chargers including Newburg, NY and Binghamton, NY.
