Wait, are you suggesting that the small percentage of buyers on these forums are not a randomly selected sample of all buyers, and that it would be inappropriate to draw statistical inferences as a result? Pish posh.

I think what we are seeing right now is a push by Rivian to get as many deliveries out in their Q2 as possible. My guide made several comments that made me think they are getting trucks out to anyone ready to buy. Really doesn't make sense that I'd get a truck (ordered Sept 2021) before people that ordered 2 years earlier.

I have a 5/21 reservation and just got my guide today. I changed to 21” wheels this past Wednesday even though I had 22” brights configured originally. I had a October/ November window from the June email. My Guide said changing to 21” wheels pushed me up significantly.

I am ~155 miles/2-2.5 hours from the closest service center.

I have an at home delivery scheduled for 7/27 assuming everything is completed in time.

I'm starting to think that the specific SC that you are closest to is far more important than the distance from it, to a point. At what point distance becomes a factor seems to be a mystery but I think it's probably around 200mi.

I think #of trucks in a region compared to staffing levels are an issue and I think whether or not the SC is considered "open" or temporary is an issue.

Ah, that's an interesting observation/theory! I can certainly see that making a lot of sense. If a service center is smaller/newer/less staffed that could definitely mean less throughput on the deliveries there.

It also seems late 2021 orders are somehow being pushed ahead of a lot of earlier orders. The number of times I've seen people post that they switched to 21" wheels, then got a guide shortly thereafter, all of which are late 2021 orders, is astonishing. However, when I see posters from early 21 and before changing, nothing is happening. There's absolutely something messed up in Rivian's order fulfillment database/process.

Where are the R1 Shops and which SC is nearby. I feel that is a huge factor.
