In terms of charge speed, is there a way to use actual Apple MagSafe chargers with a usb c female to usb c female adapter to be able to utilize the full 15w? It looks like the current setup has a pad with usb c female that is fed from the dc/dc converter by usb c male. I have no less than 5 sitting at my house to try out if that’s a possibility.

Perhaps via use of female to female USB-C adapter. I would advise against doing this though as we want to ensure that temperatures are kept in line - both on the pad and the converter. Also, the cord on those is really long.

The Wireless charger you selected is a generic Qi charger right? Nothing that would prevent an android phone from using it?

Correct. Theoretically you can also put a small Magsafe like ring in your case and it will even hold it in place.

Wow, I just went to your site & all I got was a splash page. I couldn’t figure out what to do. I’m going to write a scathing blog post about the “torture” I endured. Eight steps to order a phone charger are just too many.

I haven't opened ordering for it yet. I'm aiming for later this week. The site is live and I've posted preliminary pricing on it though.

Judging by how many people have reached out to me, I think I'm going to already plan on another batch.

I would love if you would just do pre-order... maybe that would help you better guage how many people really want... :)

If the roles were reversed, I would have the same opinion.

From my end, I'm trying to be really cautious here. If this were to make it into serialized production, much more testing would be needed. At this point, everything that I've done to validate the design has been via personal use. For all I know, the reliability of the pads might be crap, or they may charge non-apple phones at a rate leading to more heat from the DC-DC converter and plastic deformation.

I'd very much consider this to be a science experiment at this point, and I don't want to get too deep into it. I'm sorry. :(
