Hey y'all, curious if there's anyone who kept track of when you got your 8-steps after you had a vehicleID assigned to you.

I just had a vehicleID show up in my account last night and am now obsessively watching my email for that mythical email to show up. How long is it usually for this phase of the process?

They happened simultaneously for me so I'm guessing as soon as you talk to your guide.

Oh that’s interesting! I actually spoke with my guide yesterday but I didn’t have a vehicleID showing up in my API responses at that point. Should I expect him to reach back out today? We reconfirmed everything on the call already yesterday.

Everyone's experience will be different here but I'd say it can't hurt to reach out to your guide. It might be you got assigned a vehicle being built now and they will say 6-8 weeks (this is the new conservative estimate they have been giving people after switching to rail shipping). Or it could be you have one at a service center and it would be 1-2 weeks. But if you have an id I'm pretty sure that means you have a VIN.

Either way, I'm excited for you. I know you've been stuck in limbo for awhile. You are for sure on your way now!

This is so exciting to hear!! Going to reach out and see if he has any additional info on his side! Either way it really feels like progress!

Wow that’s incredibly quick! Two days to VIN and then a week or so to get the truck! Time to get my ducks in a row for real this time!

The PBA date was my guide phone call date, and while on the call he found a truck on their sheet that was nearly my build (minus spare and different wheels) but the wheel change was fine, and I said sign me up. Basically the R1 shop before it was a thing.

The spare was delivered and installed by ATL SC the week after the truck delivery.

My vehicle ID and 8 steps happened simultaneously, though I already had a guide due to Shop access.

That's interesting, guess they already had your truck built? I guess that means they're still actively building / QAing mine then! Every email I get makes me jump.

I had the same thought that it must already be built. No clue why they didn't assign me before now if it was already built, given my understanding from my guide is all backed out of builds land in the Shop.
